Accidental Craig's List Trade

My boyfriend scored an N64 at a garage sale last summer with all the plug-ins for $1. We've recently been weeding out a lot of duplicate stuff and decided to sell it on Craig's. A guy that was interested in it said he already had an N64 but that the power supply was broken. I told him it would be cheaper to just get a new power supply, so he should do that instead of buying ours, since we were selling it for more beacuse it had an expansion pak and everything. Then he claimed that the system was just all together broken. He mentioned it was "turquois" and I asked if he would give it to me if I gave him a few bucks off of the N64 we were selling him. He agreed to this. We were planning on seeing if we could fix it somehow, but when we brought it home and plugged it in with one of our power supplies, the thing powered on right away and was playing games. So now we have a sweet working Ice Blue N64! I feel kind of bad for the guy but he insisted that it was broken, so..... his loss.

  • As long as the plastic shell isn't broken or cracked and it has the expansion pack cover, I'd call that a win!!

Yes to both of those! It's a pretty nice system, all I did was clean out the cartridge slot a bit.
  • Eh I wouldn't feel bad for the guy, he got a working system. Casual gamers couldn't care less about variations.

    Congrats though, love that 64.
