My first 'somewhat rare' NES game
I've got a couple of other ones - Faria, the entire Mega Man series, and all of the Dragon Quests sans IV (I think 2 and to a greater extent 3 and 4 are fairly uncommon?) but this is my first game that's usually on the "valuable" lists. Glad I was able to snag it. Didn't really get a huge deal - I paid $100, but still. One less one to find as the prices continue to climb.

He had a copy of Rescue Rangers 2, Bonks Revenge, and Contra Force 2 in a few weeks ago. I wasn't able to get in fast enough to look at prices before they were gone unfortunately.

A local store that I don't like very much (it's a chain) had a copy of DW4 for $40 a couple weeks ago. I didn't pick it up and I'm starting to regret it. I wonder if they still have it...
I would call them up, I'd have picked that up
Despite the limited color/audio of the NES due to when it was made and the makers it actually still feels like a fairly modern JRPG so it doesn't get that clunky feeling earlier DW games get. Also if you're time limited, the game has 5 chapters, the first 4 are relatively small in comparison and each have their own land, characters, and unique talents which makes it like you're buying 5 games in 1. In the last on your hero ends up eventually meeting the people from the other chapters to form a huge party to use.
Kicking myself in the pants now. haha
I did manage to find and pick up all 4 Dragon Warriors in the wild.
I think the only Dragon Warrior game I needed to order online was III
DWIV I traded in a bunch of crap I bought for $60 into a local store that had a minty CIB DWIV for $120, got $130 credit for the stuff I traded in.
1&2 I found at Value Village

Good find. I got my copy for about 45 dollars a couple years ago at a local store. Didn't have the money on me when I went in, but I was lucky and managed to go home to get more cash and make it back before anyone else picked it up. Thank god K3VBOT wasn't collecting yet when I found it, that bastard sniffs out all the good stuff in Fort Wayne
I resent that comment

Yeah go get it. Between years in California and being out here for a 7 year stint and now back since later last year I've only seen DW4 in two places. One was this now corrupt shop(nice then) that had it for $50 solid every year I went there, never deviated and I never bought it and the last I saw that was around 2000. Last year in october coming back out here for good to live, I went to my favorite old haunt and found DW4 minty as a lone cart can get for $40 and I put some thought into it, came back the next day or two and grabbed it with no regrets.

The most I would spend on that game is prob 50-70, since I've seen one listed with the box for 120 on ebay recently.
should have posted it in the good BIN then because that was a steal nowadays
