Stinkerhubbin's Scores (pic heavy)

UPDATE 4/6/13

Picked up two SNES consoles, 4 controllers and 16 games today for $120. Games include DKC1,2,3, Super Mario All Stars, SMW x 2, Yoshi's Island, Illusion of Gaia, Taz-Mania, Porky Pig, Monopoly, and some sports/racing titles.

UPDATE 4/3/13

Picked up for $150 today - SNES & two controllers and seven games. Could have come with six Super Scope 6 carts, as long as that top center one was there! Not a bad day today.

UPDATE 4/2/2013

Picked these up today off of Craigslist - $70 for Final Fantasy II box, manual & map, SMRPG box & manual, and Secret of Mana loose. Not a ginormous score, but still a great deal in my book.

UPDATE 3/26/2013

Picked up this lot today locally for $35. Don't think I did too bad with this one

-----------------

Got the box I won today in Cremorecs' large flat rate mystery box auction. Stuffed to the gills! What was in it? I'll let the pics do the talking $61 shipped.

--------

Picked up this lot today for $150. I did my homework and figured I wasn't getting a bad deal on it. Opinions please, even if that opinion is that I completely screwed up

The console is dirty but should be easy to clean up. Shame that the game labels aren't all in the greatest condition.

  • That's not to bad. I'd call that a $200 lot easy. I'd buy it at $150
  • I say you did pretty good. You could probably get $2-225 for everything
  • Ya decent find...I'm a sucker for boxed consoles
  • Thanks everybody Also looks like it came with an expansion pack. I'll confess that I'm completely unfamiliar with the N64 and have never owned one prior. Were these bundled or does this add extra value to the whole lot?
  • The expansion pack came with Donkey Kong 64, and they tend to sell in the $20-25 range alone, so yes it definitely adds value.

W00t! Good news to me I was having a tinge of buyer's remorse on the drive back, wondering if I made a "meh" deal. Looks like I don't need to feel any regret now lol
  • Where I live it's an easy $230-240 worth of stuff. I always get a bit of the buyer's remorse when I buy something for a good price but it's not a major score, once I get home and analyse it, I feel better.
  • If this is your first experience then play banjo kazooie. That's one of my top games

Also pick up Banjo-Tooie when you can. I think I like that one better than the original. But definitely play the first -- it's a fantastic series.

You got a good haul though - no need to feel remorse! There are a lot of good games in that bundle.
  • I agree with everyone else that you did well. Some really good titles and a boxed console is always a good day in my book.
  • """""""don't think it's "Finder Keeper" worthy """"""""""

The point of the thread isnt if its worthy. Its if you found something and want to share. And yes thats a decent pickup and thread worthy. There are better finders keepers than others but if the buyer is happy with the price it goes there.

    x2.

  • At $150 I wouldn't feel bad at all as it's over $200 in stuff. But beyond that you got a notable amount of some of the best first party releases (and 2nd party too) for the system. If you can exhibit some self control and actually play these games if you're not just a straight collector, there's a ton of hours of fun there especially due to the 3D platformer games.
  • That poor Mario Party 3. But yeah, like everyone said. It was a fair deal.
  • Update! Got a mystery box in the mail from Cremorecs' auction. Pretty nice haul I think
  • Another update: got a hit on Craigslist offering an FC Twin, two controllers, TMNT IV Turtles in Time, NBA Jam TE, Zombies ate my Neighbors, Super SF II, Double Dragon III and Mike Tyson's Punch out for $35. Score!

    Pic in original post.
  • Really nice score there, TMNT alone is worth the price you paid.
  • New finds today - scored a couple boxes w/paper and a Secret of Mana for a pretty nice price.
  • I may be interested in that Magic Carpet longbox and Battle Arena Toshinden 2 longbox. Also I take it that Earthbound rental case was -just- the rental case?
  • Unfortunately yep, just the rental case lol Still kinda neat though.

The Toshinden 2 is CIB and in pretty nice condition, and the Magic Carpet is just box & disc, but still in nice condition. Before those, I'd never seen any longbox games before since I'd never owned a PS1.
  • New finds today! Got my first Earthbound in this score.
  • Nice Earthbound. I almost jumped on that Mario RPG box/manual myself.
  • That Earthbound score is pretty sick. Nice snag.
  • More updates! Snagged a lot of SNES consoles, controllers & games for $120 this morning. Not too shabby. Pics on original post.

  • Snagged this locally for $3. Yep, three dolla! I thought for sure he mistakenly left out a 0 somewhere, but no protest to the three crisp dollar bills I handed in exchange First buy in a long time and I think it was a good one.

  • Not a massive score, but nice for $30. Now if only I had a working GC controller.

Got any stuff for trade? I have lots of extra Gamecube controllers.

Wish I did. Hardly have anything these days. Had to sell off most of my stuff last year out of necessity and am still pretty bare. Just in case though...what are you looking for?

Right now mostly just games, any Nintendo system.
  • I seem to be on a Gamecube kick lately. Another $30 local score earlier today. Copy of Need for Speed Most Wanted is factory sealed. Not exactly rare, but damn I haven't seen a sealed GC title in a long time
