Which Actor has the most games on a game system?

From my understanding, I think Mr. Schwarzenegger holds this award with 4 games on the NES.  The games being Predator, Terminator 2, Last Action Hero, and Total Recall, six if you include Terminator 1 (I'm not sure if his character appears in this game) and Conan (unsure whether it's based on the movie or the franchise in general).  There probably were more games, but this is something I was wondering.

It's also funny, since Arnold was best known for playing the Terminator, who was apparently using a 6502 based CPU, much like the NES.  Coincidence, much?

Comments

  • Harrison Ford ties with 4 if you count the Indy variants.

I take that back..  he's in the star wars games too.
  • The Olsen twins probably challenge Schwarzenegger with all the video games based on them, lol. But, does this really count?

They count now that they are over 18
  • On a single platform, not in total. However, a game based on a celebrity doesn't count, only movies or TV programs they starred in.  For example, "Mary Kate and Ashley" games don't count (unless they have a show or movie series with the same name, and even so, I think that's more of a franchise than a movie series), whereas "Full House" games do.
  • Hulk is on a ton of games over the years, but probably only 3-4 per system I'd guess without counting.

Also seeing this Hulk Hogan is in alot of games on multiple generations of systems . along with other preformers who might be in the games as well

I appreciate the humor. It made me laugh after having a shitty day.

Thanks Buddy, glad you enjoyed it. if i remember right one of them looks better than the other now but i haven't seen any pictures of them in a couple years

  • I could say you even include the Govenator, for Contra, as the character drawn on the front, is him in Predator. that makes 7
  • This is an interesting thread. So far, we have Arnold and Harrison Ford, but it would help what games too. Preferably, these are games based on a movie or TV series, and not a spin off from said series.

    And Wrestlers don't count.
  • Michael Keaton has 3 or 4, for the Batman games and Beetlejuice. "Return of the Joker" is debatable, since it wasn't based on a movie. Still, at the time, no other actor had portrayed Batman yet, so does he get it by default?
  • Captain Lou Albano has like 7 or 8 on the nes from all the Mario games
  • Harrison Ford on NES has 5 titles if I remember right, 6 if you get into licensing messes. Temple of Doom (mindscape and tengen), Last Crusade (Ubisoft and Taito), then Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back.

I'm fairly positive he's not in any part of the Young Indy game as he only had a bit part in one episode back in the day.
  • Wow, that's amazing. Thanks Tanooki.

Roadrunner: What's odd about "Return of the Joker" is that there's no "Official Batman seal" like the other two games, plus it was mostly based on the comics than any movie.

And Lou Albano doesn't count, though that's a good point.  It's hard to pinpoint why he isn't.
  • would Pat Sajak and Alex Trebek coubt for all the wheel of fortune and Jeopardy games
  • They're not so much actors as they are personalities. If this was about celebrities in general, John Madden would've won.

I don't think you should count re-releases since the games are identical, I believe.  Just my opinion.

  • Last Crusade by Ubisoft is a different version than the Taito version. I guess tengen and mindscape version of Temple of Doom are the same, right?

I thought that Ubi, and Taito were different, until I read a post that they were the same, so I'm not sure.

As far as Temple of Doom they are both exactly the same, I own them both.   I know Ms. Pacman is different unlicensed and licensed, but Pacman is identical.

So there are examples where games have actually changed, and some that are the same.

  • Ubi and Taito are definitely different.

    Taito:

    Ubisoft:
  • Harrison Ford is not featured on the boxes or carts of the Star Wars games, so does that even count? However, Kevin Costner is on both the Untouchables and Robin Hood for NES.

Wow, yeah, not even close.  Both games look pretty good, so i'd say count em both.

Aren't the labels pretty similar, you think one company would have changed it up a bit, so people wouldn't confuse the two.

  • If you're doing Willow for Val Kilmer, you've got to count Warwick Davis!

He's also an Ewok, but I guess they didn't show up in a game until the SNES.

  • I tried to only include actors that might be in more than one game. I didnt know he was in Return of the Jedi TBH.
  • Does Bart Simpson qualify as an actor?
  • What about Fabio for the Ironsword cover?
