Does anyone have a sealed copy of Freestyle Street Soccer for GC? I just got a copy in the mail today and the seal looks nothing like any other dvd box seal I've seen before. This one looks more like the seals you would see on 64 games with the overlap on the back. What's weird is it does have vent holes and the seller had like 12 of these (Still has 9). Did these come sealed this way?
It's easier to tell a cardboard game's grade from photos than disc based stuff. I had a first print Halo that had absolutely no tears in the shrinkwrap and it still only scored an 85 based on the surfaces scuffs / scratches. Those can be incredibly hard to photograph and you have to have it in hand, under the light, to really get a good idea for it.
Also, agreed that I would never sub anything Player's Choice or Greatest Hits. The only exception would be if it were stupidly MINT and it was one of my favorite games all-time. But I wouldn't expect much resell value from it, and I'd just be doing it to keep.
Just go in a room with light, and look at the game under the light and move it around so you can see the marks on the plastic. If there are a lot of marks, don't grade it, if it's relatively clean, than the chances of a higher grade are real
Hey guys I need your opinion on this Skyward Sworld bundle I bought. I purchased it with the intent of getting it graded and the eBay listing said that it was in really nice condition. The pictures looked great as well. I feel pretty bummed that theres a little nick on a corner and one of the bottom corners is a little crushed. So I have two questions, what grade do you think this would get and should I seek a possible return. The listing didn't stay any of the defects.
Sorry shane but that Tear is a no no. That tear alone drops it below gold level. To be honest of you didn't ask for more pictures then you shouldn't ask for a refund.
So, I just got hit with a $25 sticker removal charge on my latest VGA sub and I'm pretty pissed about it... especially when I had emailed them before hand and they said they'd "take care of it" with a smiley face, no mention of the cost. I got an email into them before I pay my invoice so we'll see how it goes.
So my question becomes, how do you guys remove normal pricing stickers from your sealed games? Not talking about security strip stuff, just a normal generic price tag from a retail store. They are usually pretty easy but I just want to know the best method with the lowest risk of damaging the game. Thanks guys.

I've used goo gone on a cotton swab to get this job done a few times now... all went flawlessly with no problems
Note that if the case is damaged, there's potential that the game could have been damaged too (and would grade lower). However, I had a game fall about 6 feet off a shelf, crack the case badly, and still maintain it's grade when I recased. Those things are meant to withstand a lot, but you never know.
So I was looking at that, does that mean Mario All Stars, and Zelda Skyward Sword CE are both non standard? Or are they standard because they are under the 20" thingy. Also, are they more lenient with older games than they are with new games?
can someone take a picture or explain where the slight opening is on the VGA cases? i've always heard about these but have never been able to spot them.
I just got my invoice from VGA today and it said the estimated completion date would be the 31st of may. Is it normal for them to take this long? I was under the impression that it would only take around 5 days to process.
^ The turn-around time is indicative to the tier selected. You selected the Standard Tier (judging by the due-date) which offers a 30-40 business day turn-around. Express would be 10-15 days, Premium 3-5 and Archival 1-3. You pay more per item for faster processing.

Thanks for the help bucky.
P.S. Well I'll actually be putting this one in my collection. Definitely not looking to make any money off this one.
1)Is there any SNES games that have never to this day been found still sealed?
2)Is there any games not considered rare as a CIB but are hard to find sealed and that hardly ever pop up for sale?

I've got 2 virtual boy 80's and they look better than that... Unless 80 is a really broad grade, I'd bet on a possible 75ish.
