Fatal Frame series
Being disapointed with the current gen's lack of horror games I've been wanting to get into some older ones.
So, what should I know about the series before getting into them?

They added content to the xbox version and added different effect lenses that effect the graphics to make it look like an old movie ect ect.
If I decide to get into them I might try to open a WTB thread here.
What is the game play like?

Absolutely recommeded.
EDIT:I'm not into getting pristine copies, just CIB. I would prefer to not buy something graded as that would only drive the price up, sorry.
Why would he want sealed when he wants to play them

Thanks for the info, but it says he's from British Columbia, noooo!
Ain't nothing wrong with smelly Canadians. Unless they have the Frenchie versions of games, I would give it a shot. Sometimes you can find all 3 on ebay for around that price too. It's been a while since I looked at em. Can you have mine?

+1 cool points if anybody gets that. ^
I've been trying to find a cheap copy of the first one. I already have number 2 (sealed), but I hate starting with the second game of a series if I can help it.

I have no problem dealing with people from other countries, it is just the extra shipping would suck.
My friends got me all three games back when they came out. Definitely one of those games where it's more fun to play together (trading the controller off when you've had enough of shit popping out at you).
Ghosts pop up all over the place. You can just walk by a random window and there will be a creepy ghost chick standing in it. A lot of the ghosts don't even attack you, but they will still scare the hell out of you. The overall atmosphere in these games is fantastic. Fatal Frame 2 is my favorite.

If you're looking for good survival horror games on the PS2, you should also check out Kuon and Rule of Rose.

My only complaint w/ the games is that the controls can be really tough to get used to. I played the first one halfway thru and still struggled w/ the camera's mechanics.

I thought the mechanics in Rule of Rose were more difficult to get used to than Fatal Frame, though I like both games. Of course, I'm a Resident Evil guy, so the Fatal Frame controls were very familiar to me. Also, don't forget Haunting Ground and Clock Tower 3 as well. Both made by Capcom, mind you.
