I wanna help!

I wondered I could help this community and take some time to scan a few Wii and DS games that are missing in the DB where can I submit them?

  • Good question, I could fill a lot of blank spaces too.
  • I asked a member who had "Wanna help with database scan, pm me" in his signature, and he told me to upload the package on a filesharing site, and he would upload them little by little.

But after scanning for about 8-10 hours, I decided to see if my stuff would ever surface in the database, and after a month, my scan still aren't showing up. Guessing the guy is away or busy.
  • Ask Dain or another admin/mod that's less busy if they can set you up to be able to edit the game database and add new games and scans.

And Lucas, that does seem like a pretty long time, but it took me around 2 whole days to upload all my stuff, and that's not even considering his outside commitments and possibly uploading the scans of others too.
  • We're working on a list of people who are knowledgeable enough with the NintendoAge database to make changes and add stuff.

Honestly, many of the mods and admins aren't good with working in the database and are reluctant to do so, as we don't wanna risk messing up all the information in it.

Many of the newer systems haven't had anything added to them, as many members have been working to get the older systems done first.

If you already have the scans, let me know and I'll find someone to send them to.

Are you using 300DPI when scanning as I know the higher quality is best for the box scans?

  • I'm pretty sure I was told to use 150DPI (I would have to look back at the PM I received), but I did scan at higher rate and resized it afterward to match 150 DPI size. 150 DPI from my scanner gave badly textured pictures, while scanning at higher DPI and resizing afterward gave much cleared end result.

  • ok 150 is correct my mistake, 300 works as well, just 150 as a minimum.

    Sorry about that.
  • Okay I'm gonna start working on those scans tomorrow let me know when you found a guy that can put them in the DB meanwhile I'll have them sit in my photobucket account!
