Anyone know anything about this 'Big Nose - the Caveman"

Hello All,

In my travels, I came across this copy of 'Bignose the Caveman'. The label is not the one I am familiar with. This copy is an NTSC copy - it plays in my 'toaster' NES.

Unlike the screenshots here at NintentoAge, this cart presents different information, it says "galoob presents" then it shows title screen showing a copywite date of 1990 unlike the screenshot here at NintendoAge with a copywrite of 1991.

Can anyone tell me more about this cart, and if it's common or not? Thanks.

Galoob was the original license house for Code Masters games, I think Camerica was a canadian based company that took over the IP from Galoob after the Game Genie lawsuit.

Pretty cool variant to say the least.

Well it certainly isn't common, but I'm sure you know that already..

From what I can tell (frin wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camerica),

Galoob Toys was the U.S. distributer for Camerica.

That artwork is by far better than the one we normally see. Very cool find, wish I could shed some light on the subject, but i've never seen it before either. I know for sure its not common.

Great find -- I'm guessing this is more of a prototype/sample rather than a released variant, as the release dates of the Camerica library are from 1991 onwards I believe.

With the Galoob link, it's a bit like the Sharedata Chiller (http://www.nintendoage.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Element.View&egID=472&lgID=204&sID=204) and the AGCI Wally Bear carts (http://www.nintendoage.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Element.View&egID=2569&lgID=1126&sID=1126).
