Christian I actually won that previously and sent it back. In addition to the box being crushed, I believed it was re-sealed. You can see a white crease line along the top hinge in back.
Iv never used VGA before but im thinking about sending a few. I know 90 is really the starting point. Is there a way i can grade it myself to see what kind of grade to expect? Also is it possible to tell VGA not to case it if it gets below a certain grade?
It depends on the titles. NES 90 is ridiculous while New Gen 90's are plentiful. Also, anything above 85+ is really hard to distinguish between grades...post pics
Corners are sharp, no poke throughs on any of them. There are is a crease looking thing at the bottom on the last pic. I spent about 5 minutes trying to get a pic because its very faint. I want to send it in to get atleast an 85+. I dont want to spend the money for a lesser grade so im hoping there will be a consensus on how likely an 85+ would be. Thanks in advance! Annie
Well those aren't the best pictures, usually a front / back and one of each corner works best. It's hard to tell which are creases and which are reflections from the lighting, but I'd say 85+ is the best you could hope for, possible 85. Would need to know how much scuffing is on the plastic too.
If that crease in the last pic really runs from the red to the "AN" of Mana, 85 tops.
Maybe you're right but I think spending 100-200+ dollars to get it graded may or may not reflect that in the price. Mana is worth what? 600-800? I doubt getting it graded would bump it to 1000.
Why spend $100 to $200? You can opt for a slower tier, standard at $25 or expedited at $37. Even with shipping to and from it'd probably be closer to $50-$75 instead of $100-$200.
Though I tend to agree, I don't grade a game unless I'm expecting Gold level. Only exceptions would be for 1) A game that is VERY special to me or 2) I have suspicions whether it's real or not.
Been a ton of disc based (Gamecube, Xbox, PS) reseals on eBay recently and I'm going to make a thread whenever I get refunded and can document why they are fakes. Cardboard is usually easier to spot, but VGA also has importance for their authenticating, not just grading.

Agreed that it won't make it a 1K game, but grading would be $70 Max...
Well for what I paid for it I shouldnt be complaining. Half the reason I want to get it graded is because it was such a steal. When I go through the vggrader website it comes out to like 120. Possibly doing something wrong?

$70 is for archival I believe. It's the fastest turnaround and UV Case. It's only $25 IIRC for the slowest turnaround. So it really depends how soon you want the game back. Other feels apply of course like shipping and whatnot.
Posted this in the Collector's Corner then was told there was a thread...I love being a Newbie haha. I'm sure a few of you might have seen this before but I need an opinion on it before I make an offer. Reseal and what kind of grade? I know the bottom crease will knock it from gold level but I'd be happy with anything 75 to 80 really. Oh yea...thanks Ark for the heads up on the thread :-)
Just a word to any newcomers into the sealed arena. If you can't distinguish between real and fake, then stick to buying graded products. Yes graded tends to cost more, but you don't have to play these "is this real or not?" games. You can also train your eye as you start to receive real games and know what to look for. And believe me, all it takes is one or two reseals to burn you and you'll wish you had bought graded anyway.
That seller has plenty of pics, just ask for more if you are unsure and I'm sure he'd provide them. Still looks legit to me.

An 85 might have one or two of those.

I'll probably pass grading on it then

Yeah, that's a V-S-A tier. Which is $70 Max.
