Mame people

As I'm getting closer to finishing my mame cabinet I have noticed that it will be very inconvienent to power everything on monitor, light, etc.
Is there a way to power everything with one switch I cant find anything. Or does anyone have any other ideas to make it easier.

Thank you.

i have one tucked inside my cab and when i plug it in everything turns on.
  • Yep, the smart power strips are very useful for mame cabinets, you can find them on eBay for $20.
  • I use a smart power strip as well with the computer as the control. When the computer turns on, everything goes on and visa versa. I disconnected the regular power button on the tower and extended the wires to an arcade button on the top back of the cabinet, which is used as the power button for the unit.
  • I use a power switch in my machine and have my PC bios set to auto turn on after a power failure. So every time I plug my strip in everything turns on and the pc sees the power and kicks on as well. ^-^
  • I also use a power strip, however I also have to manually turn on my subwoofer and computer manually.
  • That is exactly what I need. I didn't know these existed. Thanks a lot guys.

That's the way it should be done, i'm lazy and it's been a minute since i tried to reconfigure my set up, i don't want to rock the boat and lose my settings. i pull the plug to shut my whole cabinet down which in theory is bad but old windows pc towers are a dime a dozen around me, i dont mind wrecking a tower or two to play some classics.
