Other Titles You Beat In 2012

I beat Terranigma last night. It's is the first game I beat this year that I've never beat before. Words don't do it justice. It's just fucking amazing. It kept me thinking right up to the end with the mindfuck of a cliffhanger the game ends on.

  • I'll have to check that game out. I finally got around to playing (and beating) Earthbound for the first time. It definitely isn't worth it's high price. I'd say it's a $30 max. But I still enjoyed it. I'll be starting Star Ocean here soon. I played a bit of it, and just fell in love with it. I can't wait to get it.
  • I beat metroid II on my snes with the super gameboy . Very fun game .

  • I finished terranigma about a month ago for the first time as well, and yes that game is amazing. The leveling system was a bit flawed though, but most action rpg games suffer that. your either too weak or too strong.

I just beat the first sailor moon game on sfc, lol such a generic beatem up
  • I just completed Final Fantasy VII last weekend. I've never owned a PlayStation, but I remembered all the hype about it back in high school and decided to pick up the PC version. Game definitely leaves an impression on you, to be sure.
  • Donkey Kong Country (SNES) 2 weeks ago.
  • Back to the Future: The Game... the new point and click adventure. OMG, I loved it. It was a little simplistic and too easy at times, but it really brought me back to games like Loom and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

The guy that voices Marty is amazing, all the voice acting is amazing actually. The story is compelling too. It's the closest thing we'll ever have to a fourth Back to the Future and I'm pretty satisfied with that.
  • So far I've managed to beat the following this year: (Thanks to the local library for the free rentals)

Need for Speed the Run - AI is cheap and gave me more frustrating moments than Super Meat Boy.

Saints Row the Third - Finished the PS3 version, working on the 360 version.

Uncharted 3 - The story wasn't as good as the second one, but the action seemed to flow better.

Captain America - Short game but fun.

Going to try to beat Rage before FF13-2 arrives next week.
  • Rachet and clank: tools of destruction. Currently playing twilight princess for the first time.
  • I beat Golden Sun last night.

my disks were too scratched so I emulated fairly recently. I did something ridiculously stupid... I got tired of doing traditional saves and started relying on save states because it was quicker and didn't involve the menu. I hadn't saved properly for hours upon hours (probably 10 hours without a true save). I entered the Emerald Weapon fight with the wrong materia configured and accidently hit the save state button. It was impossible to win the battle, and I tried over 10 times. I had to put it down in shame. Maybe in 2013 I'll start another run.

Save states are bad, mmm kay

Only reason i bought my earthbound the almost 2 decades ago was because it was in a big box and looked exiting. i played it once and its been in its box since then haha, minus the box i don't get why its worth so much. theres tons of carts out there. there are much rarer games going for much less.

to stay on topic i just beat Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles: Echo's of time. Hates the fact i alwasy pick up my party members instead of what i want to pick up, it had a tactics feels to it. But a little different, just another game spit out with the large amount iv'e lost count of for final fantasy on handhelds

  • Yesterday I beat all three difficulty levels of Star Fox with 94% being my worst score, and all three difficulty levels of Star Fox 2 with no damage to Corneria.
  • Last night I finally got around to beating Circle of the Moon. I recently had to replace the battery. It's the first time I've done that, so I got paranoid about losing my save every time I went back to it.
  • Beat wind waker today. Its more on the easy side for me. Did not get the final three heart pieces as i got so bored with the game. Next will be muramasa for the wii.
  • Since Nintendo released the official Zelda timeline, I'm playing through it in timeline chronological order.

I ordered Skyward Sword Collector's Edition and just started playing it last week, but it's amazing! I beat Minish Cap a few days ago, too. Always a fun little game.
