Al pal controllers work on all ntsc systems. However the same is not true in reverse. (it has to do with some pull up resistors) I have a pal nes that I can't use certain controllers on. But they all work on my av famicom.
I have a guy asking me about my Advantage on eBay. Would that work with a PAL NES? I would assume yes as long as the ports are the same.
It depends on PAL console. I think the Advantage will only work on a Scandinavian PAL console. At least it will NOT work on a Spanish or German PAL console. Those consoles require controllers marked NES-004E on the back. NTSC and Scandinavian controllers are marked NES-004. The Spanish and German controllers will, however, work on any console, including the NTSC NES, but not the other way around.
