Help with Ninja Gaiden II

I just bought a new NES (my old one died years ago) and when I got it I got Ninja gaiden II with it.

The game starts fine no problems but whenI press start to begin the game Ryu just floats there over a black background and the Demo freezes after a fewseconds as well. I can't figure out why its doing it. I've tried cleaning the game multiple times but havnt taken it apart because I dont have the 3.8 or 3.5mm bit the games use. Its the only game that does this with.

    how do the contacts look, as far as you can tell without opening?

    they look to be really clean, I also tried to clean it again and nothing.

    What did you clean it with? Try isopropyl alcohol and q-tips, and if that doesn't work, use Wieman's Glass Stove top Cleaner on a q-tip.

    you might also want to clean your 72-pin connector. also is there any rattling inside the game when you shake it around. if so, a connection or something may have come loose.

    That's the thing I replaced the connector and nothing rattles around, the game plays on the C2 System but not on the NES.
