Plus being from the fact it is from a reputable seller REALLY helps matters as well. Jason has been around a long time and has a great rep. I was more willing to spend a little more from him and some random joe blow. Plus I have a 10% off coupon from ebay so knock $100 bucks right off the top

Seriously though when I needed that manual before I offered everyone I knew who had it including Jason who just sold this one $1,500 and NO ONE would sell so I think this was a great price and another won't be up for who knows how long...? I think alot of people with the big $$$ to spend are not content with a CI on this and they will hold back the cash for a CIB copy.God only knpws when that will happen,but I see it bringing at least the 8k that Erik's brought.
Well it add's up to fact Chad... Cart $1,400 + Book $1,500+ = $2,900+ already for CI and maybe a premium for someone who needs both to buy them together. I publicly along with Nick (I hear) offered everyone we could dig up with boxes $5,500 for one regardless of condition and NO Takers. So let's say someone breaks down and needs the cash and sells a box for the $5,500 I was offering, like Jason just sold his book for the $1,500 I was offering back then... That's $2,900 + $5,500 = $8,400 and you know damn well if one comes up CIB it will bring "Investors" and rare only collectors in to the fray as Groo would say!
I was frankly shocked no one else bid, I didn't think I had a chance in hell of winning it to be honest. I was on the phone with Dain for that last 30 mins of the auction and we both expected it to hit around 1800. Dain even thought it might go as high as 2100. I expected Erik and Sara to both toss in a bid. I talked to Jason a few days ago and he told me he had like 3 offers to end it at 1500 so I really thought at least all 3 of those people would bid. Now for the test of time, what does the next one sell for?
I had a higher max bid than the starting bid, but I am still suprised that I won it. I just talked to Jason and he expected it to go for a little more as well, but it happy with the price anyways. I think he is just relived that it went to someone he knows so he doesn't have to worry about it or getting screwed.
