What game have you been trying to find since forever ?

  • What's up with "Z"? It was a great game on the PC. I wasn't even aware that it had been ported.

My friend and I used to play it quite a bit using a serial cable. It was an extremely stressful game.

  • I haven't tested it out yet. It's one I remember seeing everywhere in bargain bins back in about 2001, and I never really paid attention. Then a few years later I thought about trying to find a copy and found they were as rare as rocking-horse poo. Took me ages to find a decent copy for a reasonable price.

dynastygal, if you do see one in he wild, grab it, defo.

  • I found a french Z for Xed. In better condition than mine  But box arrived broken, it was mint. I should have kept it (the box, not the game)

gentleman > it's the same here for Spyro. hard to find in good condition => game for kids = bad condition

  • I saw a spyro game today. Went to Leicester today so managed to pick up some phoenix games.

  • Mr. Gimmick PAL version complete (NES)

  • Codename: Kids Next Door Operation V.I.D.E.O.G.A.M.E. for the PlayStation 2, I'm a huge fan of the cartoon series. So, I want this.

  • [color=#FF4000:3mqczqz5]Sorry chaps this might be a looong list!!

Gaia Seed - PS1 Incredibly expensive Jap exclusive shooter £100+
    Harmful Park

  • Really only two PS games have alluded me. I can easily get them on ebay if I feel like paying for them, I've just been surprised that i've never seen them in the wild.

Brigandine and Herc's Adventures. I'd not mind a FIFA 98 Rumbo a la copa mundial, but i'm not really holding my breath on it either.

  • English metal slug aes

  • At this point i've been looking for a flat cardboard longbox of resident evil(NTSC) since I started collecting. I have just about every other resident evil variant for ps1 but have never even seen a picture of the flat cardboard long box. It's kind of crazy since i have been able to acquire a MK3 jewel case, FIFA 98 Rumbo, and Syphon Filter 3 9/11 variant in the meantime. The RE1 flat cardboard longbox would just about round out my collection of hard to find variants( i highly doubt I will ever look for/consider a Elemental Gearbolt Assassins Case due to the crazy money they go for and the fact that you could never purchase it in stores). That being said I would be super excited to just see actual photographic evidence of the existence of a RE1 flat cardboard longbox variant.

I must admit that's a total stranger to me, mate. What exactly do you mean by "flat" :?:
  • This is all for NTSC-U of course, as I have little to no knowledge about PAL. Playstation used 3 different types of longboxes early on. one type is the same as the plastic Sega Saturn cases. Another one is basically a black plastic case with artwork glued onto it. The "flat cardboard" case is basically all one piece of cardboard molded into a case and it folds open. the "flat cardboard" case actually has what is basically a printing on the left side to make it look like the black plastic case. Basically if you were to run your hand along the left side of each case you would feel the ridges on the black plastic case but it would only look like ridges on the "flat cardboard" case. The flat cardboard case is totally smooth. Also both of the plastic cases are comprised of basically 2 parts, a front piece that is hinged to the back. There is no hinge on the "flat cardboard" case and it can't be separated into two pieces like the plastic long boxes can.

  • Yes, I know what you mean, now. I've seen these but i didn't know they were referred to as flat.
    Thanks for the info :ugeek:

  • mkstreet - get in line XD

  • i'm trying to find the vague memory of the game in my brain

  • you should make a seperate topic of that in the gamers section Miguel
this is a topic for games you're looking for in a collecting manner, not as in "i dont know what game it is"

  • a vague memory of a game in my brain

that's what i'm trying to find since forever just that memory in the back of my brain

  • woops posted 2 messages...... doesn't matter
well yeah Xed that might be
but since it's a section on wich game you're trying to find forever :-)
i tought i should post this, collecting manner or not this one just needs to be with the rest that i have
is having 362 games for Playstation 1 a collection? i do not know
am i a collector i do not know
if i have to name the games i'm looking for that takes a whole page
well ok i know 1 game that feels like taking forever (collecting manner? i do not know)

Lost Vikings 2 North By Northwest for Playstation 1

but i might do that (making another section or topic) i'm still considering it

  • Space Channel 5: Part 2
    Rule of Rose
    Virtua Fighter: 10th Anniversary

    All PlayStation 2-titles. All PAL.

  • Dangerboy- so you do know the RE flat cardboard box exists? Do you have a confirmed picture? I'd love to even see a picture of it at this point.

  • Since I started collecting King's Field games seriously, there are three elusive, Japanese variants I'm having a really hard time getting my hands on!

(PS1) King's Field III - Pilot Style (A demo version of the game)
(PS1) King's Field III - PSOne Books (Rerelease á la Greatest Hits or Platinum, but this one's really hard to find)
(PS1) King's Field III - Power Completionist (A special edition with slipcase and guidebook)

There are also other games out there I've been looking for, for ages, mainly this one:
(PC) Dink Smallwood - Indie RPG that had a commercial release back in the late 90s. Seen a couple of disc only being sold on eBay, but I want it complete.

  • mkestreet: nope, never personally. I have three different resellers who claim to have had it pass through their hands.

  • Bump
Uncharted Drakes Fortune promo version, not going to find one in a store and rarely crop up on ebay let alone for a reasonable price!

  • The game I have been looking for for quite a while now, is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for PlayStation 2. I'm such an idiot for not buying it when it was released. I had the PS3 version at the time, so I thought I wouldn't ever want the PS2 version. But now... I regret that decision.

Anyone know where I can find a PAL copy of the game?

  • Amazon Uk have one in the used section for £7.79 inc postage

  • PS1

    - Monster Rancher 2 (Which is Monster Rancher called in PAL as Monster Rancher 1 (With SLUS-00568 on it) didn't get released in PAL, only MR2) - German Version, if it really exists, because I have only seen English, Australian, French, Italian and Dutch versions so far. (Since I've been in love with Pixie, one of the monsters from the game)
    - Skullmonkeys (Game from my childhood)
    - Tank Racer (Probably only English and Spanish, despite it's Multi-5 (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish) ingame.) (Since I played the demo of it and having loads of fun with it, especially listening to the music, which sounds very crazy.)
    - Raystorm (Since I played the demo of it)
    - Final Fantasy VII (Since I have heard it's rare (really?) when I saw it at a Hellweg Flea Market a year ago. and then since I saw it at Andrä twice for

  • I have a Black Label Final Fantasy VII for sale, Razorblade. I don't know how much shipping to Germany would be or if you have a PSX running NTSC format games, but I just thought I'd throw that out there.

That's weird about Vigilante 8 though. They both go for pretty cheap here in the US too. :\

  • A boxed version of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GBA. It goes for a ridiculous price

Nah, I don't need to buy FFVII from you. I'll be just waiting for Andrä to have a complete copy, which my last attempt was pretty poor, since I found a copy of the game at Andrä, that was missing the manual (A very similar thing also happened when I wanted to buy Fear Effect (UK version), Kurushi, Need For Speed III (Rerelease version), Resident Evil 2 and WWE Smackdown Shut your Mouth (PS2). And furthermore, I'm only looking for PAL Games.

As for Vigilante 8. The game got Greatest Hits, but not Platinum. That's exactly the same thing with Castlevania: SOTN, Legend of Dragoon, Megaman X4, Megaman Legends, Megaman 8, Twisted Metal 1 and 2: World Tour. These games in the US are cheap, while in PAL, they are rare and also expensive.
  • Actually SOTN, Legend of Dragoon, and both Mega Man Legends are pretty expensive here too. I think Mega Man 8 goes for a fair amount too.

The difference in prices between the continents are interesting though. It's extremely useful to have consoles playing all the different formats so that you can save money on certain games (although that says nothing from a collector's standpoint if they only want certain formats). You'd be amazed how many times I look up newer games on eBay and find them for a fraction of the price coming from places like the Czech Republic and Australia. At least with Xbox 360 games you can check whether or not the game in question is region locked.

On topic though, I'd love to find nice clean, complete copies of the old Resident Evil games for PSX. At the moment all I have is loose RE2 discs and the demo for RE3. I've been spending too much money anyways though.
