  • Good call, glad you opened it.  Have fun with that.
  • Dude that is awesome!!! Your making me want to go buy some brand new controllers!!! congrats man!!
  • haha yea guys it was great! And o be honest This was the PERFECT set to open. The outer box was kina beat up. Not from being opened, just from siting in a loset for 17 years, and being kinda shoved around and stuff thrown on it (woman told me it was in her closet this long lol" So i was kinda doing it a favor by opening it lol. Also she mailed it with just brown paper wrapped around the box lol, so it wasnt well protetced during shipping either. But im kinda glad it was like GEM mint never touched, because if it was i might have had trouble opening it. So im glad everything worked out like it did, and for the last 3 days ive been playing a BRAND NEW nintendo!
  • ahhh new game smell
  • hehe yea, it was very sweet!
  • Hey Parpunk, could you get me a list of ID codes for the items in the package that have them (pretty much the paperwork and SMB/DH, as well as the box), and the model number off the NES, and any identifiable markings on the other stuff if applicable? I want to make this thorough...
  • hey no prob bro, i will try to get to it today! oh and by the way i also opened up my SEALED adventure island 2 the day i opened this up!!!! and i took some pics of it too~! So that will be another game to add to the sealed contents list.
  • Ok Wiz got the numbers for ya>

Numbers on the bottom of the NES Console

    FCC ID: BMC9BENINTENDOETS

The little sticker under that that reads> N19522128

    MODEL NO: NES-001

THEN ON THE BOX THERE IS THIS NUMBER UNDERNEATH THE BARCODE

    0 45496 61004 3

On the inside flaps of the NES box these numbers>

    NES-ACMH-US-2

I couldnt find any numbers on the control deck manual or zapper gun manual except for it says REV-3 in the lower right corner on the control deck manual and US-2 on the top right corner of zapper manual

On the Warranty Guide says CD-2-NES in top right corner

Mario duck Hunt Manual has these numbers in bottom right corner NES-MH-USA

RF Switch says MODEL NO: NES-003

    NES Controllers MODEL NO: NES-004

    ZAPPER GUN MODEL NO: NES-005

And thats about all the numbers i could find on anything, besides a few mailing addresses for nintendo etc that are on all of them i believe. Hope this helps!

Oh and here are the pics of the factory sealed Adventure Island 2 i opened as well>

  • Also need to know if there are -1's on the cart, box, or manual. Don't think there is, but I couldn't see the cart and manual codes too clearly, and the box code isn't visible (the one on the tab). Those are the codes I need off of the paperwork from the console as well image (ie NES-**-USA, ***-NES-US-*, etc). I'll fill in what's been provided and go from there. Thanks for the help bro!
  • Hey wiz ok listed the #'s of the adventure island 2 in the sealed section. As for the NES action set I cant find ANY other numbers on the paperwork than what i have already listed. any certain place i should check? thers nothing else on the covers or back covers?

  • I made a follow-up post about that...damn timeouts. Everything looks good once I actually listed it. Just need the AC adaptor and the cable-UHF converter thing checked for numbers...it appears there's an NES-002 missing, figure it might be from one of those (probably the AC adaptor).
  • This is why you should have kept that NES sealed:

  • I'd've opened it...
  • crazy Atari collectors O_O

    ~~NGD
  • Well you can't really compare a sealed heavy sixer to a sealed Action Set. Comparing that auction to a sealed Deluxe Set would be a little more fair, but even then, the Deluxe Set had much more vigorous sales numbers. A sealed Action Set will never bring in that kind of money; there were ~25 million produced!
  • YEA FOR REAL MORBIS. There is NO way a sealed Action Set would ever bring that kind of cash. Heck a factory sealed FULLY mint one went for $300.00 just the other week. And that thing was pristine. This one i got had a couple dings and dents in the outer box from being kicked aound in a closet for 17 years lol. Either way i have absolutely NO regrets and have been rocking out on this pristine Mint NES System for months now and have not had ANY glitches, freezes, or anything whatsoever. Of course i clean ANY game that goes in it, but it is freakin sweet. Works beter than my top load, and looks a million times better. Im sure there are like 50 times as many sealed nes sets out there as there are atari's anyways. Plus there are atari games out there that are worth thousands and thousands. Honestly two totally different kinds of comparisons IMO.

    Such as?  I'm intrigued.

  • Well, I was thinking several years into the future, when it will be worth much more, but I suppose you are right that you can't compare it to a sealed Heavy Sixer.
  • Air Raid. (not Air Raiders) for one.
  • thanks maximus u beat me to it :-), lets say a CIB Tooth Protectors. im sure there are plenty of more............others will chime in.

    Atlantis II (~$1000)

    Cubicolor (~$1750 loose)

    Eli's Ladder (~$1500 loose, ~$2500 CIB)

    Mangia (~$1000)

    Out of Control (~$1400 CIB)

Pepsi Invaders (last one went for $1100 loose, last CIB went for $2600, if I recall correctly)

    Quadrun CIB (~$1200)

Video Life ($2000 loose, $3500 CIB, a factory-sealed one sold a few months back for $5000...!)

I think there may be others. But think also in about 5-10 more years, when a few NES games are going for that (not counting the NWC, Stadium Events will undoubtedly be the first to sell for four figures loose, then probably Myriad and the Panesians, then Rodland PAL, Flintstones 2, Caltron, and a few others of ridiculous rarity).
  • Actually last Pepsi Invaders complete went for $1400 ... but I believe that was a buy it now (so it could have been underrpriced).
  • Heh.  Pepsi Invaders.  Wasn't that one also dubbed Coke Wins?

That'd be a funny NES game to make.
  • Those controllers look freaking beautiful.

An interesting concept, yes. Any chance of a homebrew port? (Al? bunnyboy? Lol...kidding somewhat image .)

Btw...if you ask me, there's no piece of video game goodness that looks better than either a mint factory-sealed NES game or a freshly opened NES game... It's like stepping inside a brand-new car for the first time image .
