Resistance 3 Press Kit? O.o
I always thought that the Resistance 3 Press Kit was just a small envelope with 2 disks and a few soldiers.

The first one is defiantly the press kit however Xed's might be a region variant.
Actually, the official R3 press kit is just the folded case with the two discs. Everything else is a bonus, including the toy soldiers. I haven't opened my survival edition but I believe the exact same soldiers come with it. The t-shirt was also a preorder bonus in several countries. As for the necklace, here's more info on it:

It might be possible that these items were sent to the press as well.

It's possible that all these items were also delivered to the press, who knows.
Yeah the soldiers are in the survivor edition and he necklace was a UK shopto preorder bonus aswell.

It wasn't someone from the press and I don't know how they acquired it
the link Saturn posted talks about a launch event where only 1 person would win this skull, but i guess more of these events were held?
it's unlikely that the necklace (which was a pre-order bonus) was also bought by the owner of my kit, since she got the game allready in this press set
My theory:
previous owner either won this set in a magazine / contest and got all of the items in one go
OR
this is the Dutch variant of the press kit, with more items then the normal press kits (like the Uncharted press kit has less items in the Dutch variant)
I believe the original owner probably got these as a bundle. It could have been delivered like that to the press too, but I would only consider this a press kit variant if the items came in a specific box. I really don't like loose items and find it hard to accept similar bundles as press kit variants especially when all other items are obtainable from other places. Some sellers on ebay even fake press kits by adding several promo items in a bundle. Now when the items fit a particular package, that's a whole different story...
