Sealed authentication help

I recently won an auction for a sealed copy of Gradius III on eBay. It comes from a seller who frequently sells sealed SNES games and has a 100% feedback rating from 280 transactions. A friend pointed out that the seal on the game looks a little strange (H-Line looks rough), but when comparing it to sealed games I have in hand, it is very hard for me to tell if it is authentic or fake. I have already paid for the game, but if it is truly not factory sealed, then I don't want it. Please give me your best opinion. Thanks.

  • I'm leaning towards legit, but a couple of things:
    1) the seal on the bottom of the game goes all the way across (picture 3), most of the ones I see stop about where it does on top (picture 2).
    2) the small overlap of the T in the seam is generally a good sign.
    3) verticle seam looks a little rough as you say
    4) what's that at the back top? a hanger?
    5) (picture 1) bottom left corner, is that box wear _underneath_ the wrap?

You'll know better once you receive it.  And also, it was only around ~$20 so thankfully no banks were broken.

  • Indeed, a mint copy of Gradius III CIB usually fetches 15-22$ shipped. with my Paypal 10% off, I only paid 27$. Thanks for the input, you bring up some great things to look for as I am kinda a novice in regards to factory sealed SNES games. Bronty you wanna chime in on this?
  • really can't tell from that one pic but I would lean towards legit also. nice price if so.
  • Cool, I'll let you all know the outcome once I have it in hand. i appreciate the feedback from yall image
