Dan is correct -- the global admin account counts as 1, and I corrected that count in Directory (but apparently not in the forum footer). So, we actually have 998, but of those, I know several people who have dupe accounts. Who knows how many people we really have!

I'm guessing we have around 18 real people on this site, 978 robots, a few moms, and of course Dain. He isn't human, but isn't robot. Not quite sure what he is.
The growth of NA is fun to watch, almost like in a movie where they show the spread of a disease or something and it starts slow and then grows at an uncontrollable pace after awhile. Remenicant of THE STAND or something!
About a year ago, when we had a bunch of spam attacks, we removed all inactive accounts (accounts where the user never posted or never logged in more than once). The knocked out 170 or so accounts, so the 1,000th member (now) is Sinnbox.

I also second what nick said about replying to all the posts, i have a busy job now too and dont get as much NET time as i used too and its hard to read and post in every topic like i used too. Its great though because i remeber sitting around evenings wishing someone would post something cool to talk about because i already read all the other threads lol.

I know exactly what you mean. I just recently got back into checking the posts as often as I can. Its great how fast this place has grown.
I remember those days too, haha. I started out as a post whore, but I dont much anymore. However, I am here every day and I cant believe just how big the machine is becoming! Way to go Dain for conceiving this beastly little baby!
I started posting slowly...as I generally do when I start out at a forum (with the exception of gamengai). Now I make anywhere from 5-10 posts a day with little exception.
