Does PAL Stadium Events exist in any code besides EEC?

topic, thanks.

Is there a PAL Stadium Events other than NES-SD-EEC? If so, what country?

  • That's a good question. For some reason, I thought there was an SCN version, but if there is, it's not in the database. I hope some of the European collectors chime in on this one as I'm curious with a PAL copy in-transit right now.

  • There is a SCN version of the game. But it's EEC on the front and SCN on the back. The SCN-manual is yellow, instead of blue as the FRG-one. I'm not sure what other regions there were. And as always the SCN-one is the one to look out for as it's more uncommon.
  • I wonder if this game was ever released in PAL-A format.... probably unlikely as EEC were the first NES releases AFAIK and PAL-A releases all have their own regional codes.
  • while we're on the topic, what the heck is pal-A vs pal-B anyway?

PAL-A were sold in the following countries:

    Italy

    United Kingdom

    Australia

    New Zealand

    with the following region codes:

    ITA

    UKV

    GBR

    AUS

    PAL-B were sold in:

    Scandinavian countries

    Germany

    Austria

    Switzerland

    Belgium

    The Netherlands

    Spain

    France

and I believe also Luxembourg and Portugal.

    with the following region codes:

    FRA

    NOE

    ESP

    HOL

    EEC

    FRG

    SCN

    GPS

(and smallbox games without region codes)

I think the main difference was that Mattel initially marketed/distributed the NES and its games in the PAL-A regions, and Nintendo took care of the PAL-B regions.
