Hello, I am new in this forum but I do check this place once a while as I use to play alot of PlayStation games in the past. One thing you don't see that often here are people who collect demo disc. For this reason, I am going to post picture of the demo disc I own in my collection. Also, I will post pics of my video game collection when I have the time to gather them out from the basement.

  • Hi, welcome to the forum!

This is a really nice collection! I really like demos, even though I don't collect them myself. There's just something about them that appeals to me, though.

I've got one of the demos you do, the FFVII + Bushido Blade one, but with the slipcase it came in.

That demo disc, I actually have the slipcase for it also. Most of the demo disc have a slipcase except the PlayStation Magazine as they came from the magazine.

  • Very nice!

So, are you going for a complete set of PS1 and PS2 NTSC-U/C demo discs?

I was trying to do that but unfortunately, you can't really find those demo disc here. Most of the time, they were throw away or badly scratch that it's better you throw them away.  Originally, I wasn't into it but I manage to get a nice deal for the majority of the PlayStation Magazine demo disc. From that, I slowly looking around for PlayStation demo disc.

  • great collection mate!
  • Yeah, I don't think demo discs are easy to find in the wild(just a feeling though, you generally don't find much of anything at all here in Norway, so can't really compare ), so I guess eBay and the like is the only way to go.
  • nice collection there of demos look forward to seeing you're collection

  • Update!!!

I don't really have a favourite demo mostly because I didn't manage to play all the demo disc I own as of now. But the one I do play, I think the Dragon Quest 8 demo disc is the one I can say push me to buy the game. The demo is basically the beginning part of the full game when you try to find the crystal ball mission. I literally spend 2-4 hours going around the map see the area and try side quest along the way. I got that demo from someone who is selling game to me and give me as a free gift. You can say this is the first demo game I own in my collection. As for how you get it originally, I think it's when you pre-order Dragon Quest 8 that you got the demo disc to play. Well, here in North America.

Ahh, the Pizza Hut demo disc. Yes, that demo have a slip cover. It's the Pizza Hut Wide Sleeve version because it's from Canada. I renember Jason Dvorak have a wanted list for it.

Oh, for people who are a bit interested of how the demo disc will look like if you're playing it for the first time, I did a youtube page where I play couple demo disc on the PlayStation Magazine. Here is the link of the page. http://www.youtube.com/user/ClassicGameGems/videos?flow=grid&view=1
  • I never had anything before 17, but those disc do bring back memories. I'd have to say the PS1 disc that had all the Final Fantasys on it was my favorite. Even though I owned FF8, the trailers for the rest of the FF's left me coming back for more.
