  • ya should be able to be replaced. Its most likely got 2 or 3 feet soldered to the main board. Just need to pull the old one off and solder in a new one.

  • I have an extra GBA inerds if you want the port. I will try and de-solder the port now and let you know how easy it is to do...

    That sounds great Thanks!
  • That is funny, the larger power charging port on mine is bad.

Looking at this, it is NOT going to be easy to install...when you de-solder yours, you are going to want to clean out the holes and not have any residue touching each other. Then when you put the new one it, you are going to have to make sure there is no touching either.

Hope you have a small tip on your soldering iron...
  • Yeah, I butchered that pretty good. Broke 3 of the 8 pins holding it in place. IMO you are going to need a desolder iron to take care of something this small.

    Sorry I couldn't help...

  • I can replace the connector for you, just take care of shipping.
  • ^This guy is a good option!
  • I know this is an older thread but I've also run into an issue concerning my gba sp. But I have one with those same pins sticking out. They're straight but I saw that every other one at least has some kind of black plastic tab holding onto the pins. Would the link still work without it?
