GameXChange also has/is opening a store in Branford, CT now. As far as Time Capsule in Cranston, RI I didn't think they were overpriced at all. I'm not an expert on pricing on the fly, but their stuff seemed fairly decent. Slightly less than ebay at least. There's also The Toy Vault in Warwick, RI; Waterford, CT; and North Attleboro, MA. I can't comment on any of these since I haven't been to the latter two and only took a cursory look at the first, but they do exist.
The Toy Vault at the Crystal Mall in Waterford CT is expensive. No game i have seen goes for less than $10. Common games (mario, sonic) go for $40. I try to avoid that store like the plague
I frequent a shop called Infinite Lives in Watertown, NY they also have a shop in Oswego, NY also called Infinite Lives. They sell goddamned everything. Awesome place.
Headed to Video Game Exchange in Plaistow, NH again today. Its been a while since I've stopped in. They relocated into a bigger spot (still in same plaza in Plaistow) with cheaper rent. Here's to being overly optimistic that they've adjusted prices accordingly! I'll update.
Results of visit. Selling space actually might be smaller, but its organized better. The best part is their storage area is WAY bigger so they have all of their inventory in one spot. Still a little on the pricey side, though deals can be found if you hunt them.

Yeah I went to the one in Warwick and they did seem a tad pricey. Didn't find any Sonic games for $40, but they do price things by looking them up on amazon/ebay and manually crank off a price tag. Depending on when they looked it up you can find some serious price discrepancies. Sega CD Heart of the Alien for 29.99 or 49.99! Also, PRICE TAGS ON THE LABELS UGHHHH. The carts are huge compared to those tiny little labels, but nooooooo. Another thing that annoyed me is they tape up all the clamshells. Presumably to prevent theft of the games, but dammit I want to see if there's a manual and what the cart looks like! Nintendo boxes they keep behind the counter so they don't suffer the same fate.

I can confirm this.
He was selling Super Mario/Duck Hunts for 15$ a piece. If that right there isn't a "turn and leave the store" kind of gouging I don't know what is.
The toys were all E-bay priced too, by the way if you were curious.
I'm going to use this space to vent. Rock 30 Games in ND sells online from their website, but I just had my 3rd cancelled order trying that route. the order sits for a few days and comes back as "not found". out of 4 games which were all listed as quantity on hand, 3 of them are/were listed in their ebay store for significantly more than their own website advertised.
Wanted to comment about the Tewksbury, MA Family Treasure Chest Resale place as I've dealt with them a few times now.
It's a "mom and pop" shop run by a husband and wife duo that buys and sells storage lockers. They price directly off Ebay "completed prices" and there's no wiggle room so don't expect to find 100$ gems for 5$. They actually have an Ebay store and are right around the averages on there for all their carts.
Of special note... for all you newer gamers who still use Gamestop, this place BUYS your Gamestop store credit cards off you +10% of their total value! So, come Christmas time if you've got a great aunt that you never see who tosses you a Gamestop card as a "catch all" sort of gift, and you're in a decidedly retro kick (and not in a rush to give the maligned Gamestop cash), this place can be your saving grace.
I should also mention that both the wife and husband have personally emailed me to discuss their pricing systems and how they can be more competitive, which to me says they are at least conscious about how they want to treat the retro-gamers that frequent their store... and that's a good thing.
I just wanted to post a small correction to one of the stores on the list here in MA.
It's proper title and location is:
Stateline Video Games (Feeding Hills), and not State Line Video Games (Agawam).
Having said that...the place is great. Has a huge selection of retro and current games and systems, the owner is cool and knowledgeable about both the retro and current games/systems.
The prices are very good across all systems and games, and it's the cleanest store I've personally been to.
I just figured I'd post this info for anyone here that's from MA (like me) and would like to know more about the store.

Play N Ripoff... er Trade has tried to get a foothold here, twice. Both times they went OOB. That's all we've got, as far as I know. When you walk in and they want 39.99 for a loose copy of SMB 3 with a rental sticker and a sharpie'd on name, you know they aren't going to last long.

They've really come a long way in the Retro game department since they first opened. I would have to say the majority of the store is now games and dvds, where before they remodelded, it was much more of a consignment shop. Worth a look.
I would also like to add "Comically Speaking" in Reading Mass. While their selection isn't overly huge, it is another place to look. And, if you're into comics and/or figurines, it's great.
There is a place called Comics n Toys in Riverdale NJ that has a pretty large collection of games. It's prices are what you would expect from a retail store but I did find mega turrican for genesis for $10 when it usually goes for around $25. It's an alright place to check out.
There is also a Play n Trade in Mahwah NJ. That place is way expensive though. The cheapest NES game is 9.99

I should also mention you can pre-order New Releases from them as well, something that's "rare" from the Mom & Pop's.
Another cool thing they do is a Loyalty Card Program (which is free, by the way) where everytime you spend $10.00, you get a stamp on your Card. After 10 stamps, you get $10.00 off any used game or item in the Store.
Oh, and they also have Gift Cards, as well.
Like I said, really cool place...very impressive collection of Retro Systems and Games!!
Video Games Then & Now (Illinois) is in Norridge. There is a Disc Replay in Skokie (but the selection sucks) & a Play n' Trade in Cicero and Chicago (both are in REALLY REALLY REALLY bad neighborhoods, so I'd avoid them at all costs).
I got two more. There is a Play N Trade in Columbus Ga & a store called Games 4 Less in Tallahassee Fl. The G4L has a killer & massive collection of retro & more, prices are so so but worth stopping by if you are passin through.
Finally made it down to Salem, MA to check out Game Zone. I had a good experience there and a great time talking to the owners. Also wanted to throw my opinion in on Family Treasure Chest in Tewksbury. I haven't been there in about a year, but when I was the owners were stand up people. Glad to see they've built that end of the business, but too bad you can't find the killer deals anymore!

Did they still have the 80$ boxed SNES games that you could get on Ebay for 35-40$ in their display cases I wonder?
I'm glad you had a pleasant experience, but the time I went in the rather rotund guy behind the counter claimed he couldn't work out any sort of deal whatsoever regarding their sky-high prices. (10$ for loose SNES carts I literally pay 1-2$ a piece for? No thanks.) Maybe you caught them on a good day...?
If you're a fan of that place, try the Gaming Underground in Framingham, MA. btw. It's more of the same, only... underground... and with arcade machines and stuff.
