Chocobo flea market and thrift store finds

Been a good year overall for finds. I would have been sharing more up until now but I could never seem to post anything. Hopefully Photobucket is the key to making this work.

Managed to pick these up at my local flea market this weekend.

All factory H-Seam seals.

Then today while getting some car repairs done I have a semi local guy meet me to sell some Super Nintendo items.

Only a couple of the games are missing manuals and unfortunately the SNES is missing the styrofoam.

Then as I drove home I passed a pawn shop I'd never seen before and thought it couldn't hurt to take a look inside. That's where I stumbled across my last item of the day, in a bin of NES games and broken tv remotes.

Thoughts?

  • The Game and Watch is friggin' awesome. I want one so bad! Congrats pal! And Kirby's boxed is a nice find. That's a hard to find box because the French version is everywhere and so the NTSC is actually uncommon. And 3-D Tetris, another nice valuable item. Good job!!!!!!!!!!!
  • i thought you found chocobo stuff >.< hehe

but yeah' cool stuff you got there

    thats a cool looking G&W
  • Badass scores, dude!! That game and watch is sick, but so is the rest as well.

I didn't think the Game and Watch would go over so well. It was seriously a diamond in the rough. Guess there is still a little life in pawn shops.

  • New finds from the weekend. I picked up some more sealed games. They had a second copy of Mario Clash, so I snagged it.

  • Sweet stuff! Gotta love sealed stuff!
  • Managed to snag a few more sealed games from my local flea market today. As you might be able to tell, some of the plastic is in pretty rough shape, but it is doing its job in keeping the games held closed overall. The only open games in this bundle are Ecco: The Tides of Time and the Sonic CD right beside it. At only $2.50 a piece, I couldn't let these slip by!

  • Virtual Hydlide?! ughhh
  • Good stuff, but I still think North American SNES-consoles are ugly! With that, I'm glad I live in Europe.
  • Great find on the Game and Watch, I'm trying to collect them, 2 in my collection so far, let me know if you want to trade or sell it.
  • Awesome Game & Watch, I have a couple of them myself and they are very cool!
  • Picked up this baby today. It cost me $30, which I was glad to pay~

  • Wow congrats, hell of a discount on that price. Very unique game, do play and enjoy it.
  • Stumbled across a PC Engine Duo RX this weekend and I have to say finding imports in the wild certainly isn't common, not in the south. Strangely enough the lady selling it called it a Japanese Playstation, but I knew better. Supposedly her husband was stationed in Japan once upon a time and purchased these there. She called him and after a few moments of talking, I convinced him to bring some more.

I did miss out of the Super Famicom games, that my friend picked up instead. Notable games in that were Hagane and Psycho Dream, both cib.

  • Wow. That cover of Mortal Kombat 3 looks awesome!
  • Zero Wing and Gunner's Heaven are a blast. Makes me wish that I had kept my pc engine duo.
  • I need to visit the SC flea markets it seams. damn good finds.
  • Been a long while since I posted anything. 2013 didn't offer me too much in the way of time to collect by my usual methods. Small things here and there that I didn't really document. This thread isn't about the small stuff though. You guys need to know about the better finds and I have two worth sharing. Here we go!

Came across this 3rd quarter 2013. Was chatting up a common reseller at my local flea market after making my rounds.. I walked off to give the market one more circle and by the time I made it back to his table he had this beauty! Needless to say I made sure it came home with me.

This below is a craigslist's find. I had pretty much given up on the site for a long time, but again idly browsing because I was bored came through for me! My first cabinet and man it's HEAVY. Came with Neo Drift Out and Metal Slug.

Hope 2014 keeps up like this.
  • NEO GEO cab is the find!
