Give Away Contest Suggestions!

Just hit 100 subscribers on my Youtube Channel (in my signature) and i really want to do a cool first giveaway contest but not sure what to give away or how to conduct it. Ive seen plenty of people give away all sorts of things and some of my favorites were:



Mystery Boxes

Somewhat Rare Items

Neat fun nintendo / video game memorabilia



Maybe i could give something away from one of my pickups (if i still have it and its reasonable)



What kind of items and which way of giving them out (IE. which question to ask my youtube subsribers to respond to with either a video or a comment) and would generate some fun and excitement while giving back to my loyal watchers!!??

    If you see an rare item cheap and you already have it, pick it up! Giving away something rare and/or normally expensive would really get people motivated. Possible Earthbound for subscribing? Sounds great! lol Just don't give anything away that will take too much money out your pocket of course--don't go out and spend a fortune (Unless you're really that generous/rich, lol)



    We also actually have a game here on the forums called "Guess the Cart Contest" where if someone can guess what cart it is, they'd win it! Details are in my siggy, but basically all we do is take a cart without a label and whoever guesses it correctly gets the game and custom label art with their name on it. People seem to like that idea because they can display it as a trophy!

    I think you should do something uncommon, so people will enter. Nothing rare, but maybe like a Saturn or Gameboy Pocket. Just something that will make people want to enter.

    whoa! thats a great contest and i like the custom label idea.. I think i saw this one day and did not know that it was repeated  as a contest.. nice! 



    Hmm... A double of mine thats rare.. good idea ill start looking.. Or if i find one on the cheap~ or one I found earlier this year..

    Ooo.. A Saturn or a gameboy pocket eh? ... I know i got 1 saturn and maybe a gameboy pocket (clear)... thats not a bad idea~

    Yeah man, use whatever ideas we had here, I'm sure it would work perfectly in the Youtube's comment section. Sky's the limit as far as what you can do and what rules you can add. It's all up to you. I can help you out with custom label art if you ever need it.

    I think ill do a mystery box w/ 1 specific item included that everyone will desire (a rare, uncommon) so it will be a double whammy



    got a ton of extras with all these recent garage sale finds, maybe that will work..

    Which question should i ask everyone? (Example, top 3 rare games in your collection, top 5 favorite games, best pickup story, Etc... ) all of those have been used by people i watch, i want it to be fun and unique! thx for any help in advance

    ^ Best pickup story, worst regret in game collecting, what made you start collecting, Top (place number here) rare games, How many games are in your collection... can't think of any off the top of my head at the moment that are unique.



    Big thing is to head over here in the "Gamer's Gauntlet" or the "Collectors Corner" part of the forum and see if you can check out any old posts that have poles or random questions, that might help a bit.
