Yay! I completed my CIB N64 set last night!
Well I finally did it!
I've been collecting Nintendo stuff since February of 2010. I started by playing my old N64 games and amassing the ones I lost over time, as well as finding new ones to play that I missed out on as a kid. In the summer of that year I acquired a minty CIB Smash Bros. (one of my favorites) and I decided to go after the whole set CIB.
It doesn't seem like it would be that hard with only 296 games in the set, but it sure took a lot of persistence and in the end a lot of power-buying. I had no trouble with Sculptor's Cut but plenty of the rares, uncommons and even a handful of commons eluded me for a long time.
I've met a lot of very cool N64 collectors on NA so far and I hope more flock to the site. You guys all know who you are and what you've done (well, except you killerkobra, you didn't help much).
Although I am now done the set there is a lot more N64 stuff to collect - I will be keeping my eye out for condition upgrades, gray variants, merchandise, and maybe just maybe I will get around to finishing up my CIB Funtastic set.
Here's some stats:
Last cart purchased: Snowboard Kids - $22
Last manual purchased: Bust-A-Move 2: Arcade Edition - $16 w/cart
Last box purchased: Chameleon Twist 2
Last piece purchased: Bust-A-Move 2: Arcade Edition Manual - $16 w/cart
Best deal: Clayfighter: Sculptor's Cut CIB - $45
Highest price paid (CIB): Transformers - $178 (box/manual $148, cart $30)
Highest price paid (cart): NFL Blitz: Special Edition - $55....don't judge me
And finally...here's the picture I've been waiting to post since I joined NA:

Still, that's quite an achievement, 296 is still a pretty large number, all things considered. I consider my 80-ish N64 cart collection to be pretty big. Although, I think in terms of games, not necessarily the physical carts.
Congrats man!
Sweet set to finish. Congrats

jkenned: Well two of your last-ofs were on my last 15 as well - I paid a little more to get them, though. I actually have one of the ones you need, PM me.
Rengozu: Thanks man, that's one thing I love about N64 collecting too. Interesting to see how the box designers adapted to the color schemes on the spines, there are some very creative designs.
Looks really nicely presented too
congrats
very cool to see 'em all in 1 pics.
And I belive I gave you an amazing trade/deal on Castlevania Legacy of Darkness...... That should be your best deal. Not Sculpters Cut for $45
64 props to you man.
