How to determine legitimate N64 seals

okay so I have a handful of N64 sealed games and I am a bit clueless in which ones could be fake ... i would also not be opposed to selling them

i can get pictures, but just curious if there is something i should pay attention to into what to check for to determine that they are in fact factory sealed ... i had purchased most of these in lots on ebay awhile back, but would probably open them if it turns out the seals are fake

thanks

  • I'm no expert since I'm not a sealed collector, but I would look for H-seam and probably some vent holes?
  • post pics, its usually easier to see then explain.
  • As with any boxed game, look for wear around the edges, scratches under the seal, stuff like that. As for seal types, I can't help you. I only have one sealed N64 game (Perfect Dark) and I'm not even 100% sure mine is legit.
  • some have h-seams, some do not. JoneBone would be the one to ask about these for sure.

Okay I finally got the images uploaded.  Let me know what you think.  All were purchased on ebay in a few separate lots or picked up at a flea market.  I am pretty sure most are factory sealed, but there could be a few scally wags that are not and therefore I invoke the skills of the N64 sealed masters to help me figure this out.  Thank you all for your input.

  • look into the prior link for more photos
  • H-seam, v-seam, and overlap seam... Become familiar with those 3 types.
  • To me, just skimming through them, Wipeout, Duke Nukem, and Hot Wheels look resealed, but that's just a little skim.
