ugh!!! VGA!!!!

So I posted last week about VGA taking FOREVER to return my game to me. After talking with them this week, they said that the game is very rare (Athletic World Bandai FFF version) and that there is a special team who has to look at the game and they were at come conference and would be back this week. (NOTE: I called them 3 times before even sending it to let them know the game was never factory sealed.) So, I spoke to someone today and she said it is in preliminary and that it will be shipped out tomorrow. I asked if it was going to be graded or just returned and she said, "We are leaning towards grading it." I'm like WTF? I explained this in the phone call and even wrote a note in the box about it. I swear if that hangtag is punched out when it get back, it on! Just so no one blows up on me, I am not a fan of grading either but had a buyer for it who was just going to buy it ungraded from me, grade it and resell it. I'm think I can do that myself. Anyways, more reason to stay away from VGA.

  • VGA's customer service sounds terrible!! Let us know how it turns out.
  • Oh my goodness, it is unreal. It literally sounds like someone is there to just collect a check. I even heard a baby in the background once. I have talked to very few professional people there.
  • I am sure it is just someone doing this from their house or apt if I had to make a guess. Maybe they have an actually floor space but I can't imagine they make enough to warrant all that over head.

  • The VGA just seems like a scam to me, i can't stand seeing all those graded games on ebay. And WTF theres a graded Silent Service for $100 + dollars! You'd have to be nuts to pay that kinda money for super common games just because they have a fancy case and a sticker on them. I bet its just some dude in his garage that grades these...
  • Agreed. I can call it a Sealed game if it`s not stickered by VGA.....For now atleast.
  • hes backkkkkk image
  • Ahh I remember you, Pascal. Didn't we give you a hard time three months ago for using prefab anti-theft cases as your slab?
  • ^^^ Yup, that name sure rings a bell.

Maybe they got wise about using such an easy case to violate.
  • And the answer is no, they did not change it. It is the same case that is used by most major retailers, the "seal" is a magnetic lock. I have a key or two from my days working for best buy. That gives me an idea (not really, I'm not that kind of person).
  • In fact his site looks exactly the same as when I looked at it before. Perhaps he'll be better-received at DP or someplace else. Somehow I doubt it though, seeing the scathing threads railing against VG grading, I bet he got laughed off there, hence why he's shaking our tree.
  • ^^^ Except that we was laughed out of here as well...

For all those wannabe entrepeneurs out there: this is a shining example of what MIGHT be a decent idea, but PISS POOR execution.
  • I'll say it again, "Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"

Great stuff. Now, can we expect proper capitalization on our SGH grade labels? Or is that an extra service fee?
