Sega CD Model 1
This is posted on Segaage as well, but Nintendoage seems to have more traffic, so i posted it here as well.
So, i got a Sega CD Model 1 on ebay. The guy said he was not sure if it worked. Well, it doesnt. At least not 100%
So, it powers on, and the Splash Screen comes on the TV. Great. thats the easy part.
The Disc tray wont open. Either by pressing Reset or Start on the controller. No Response. It wont read a Disc. (I opend it up and put a disc in myself). It tries to read it, and gives you the message to press start, and then all i get is a scrambled screen. Black and white large-ish pixels.
So, any help would be great. ive been doing online searching, and there are dozens of Aliments as to what could be the problem.
And for all you smarties out there who claim to buy a Model 2 Sega CD, i acutally prefer to have the model 1. it takes up less space, plus i want the challenge to be able to try and fix it.
