Sealed/Factory Sealed - Did I get a deal?

I ran into a guy that had purchased a storage locker. Inside was a copy of Mega Man 2 and Double Dragon 3 sealed.  I'm no expert in factory sealed games and these do not have the h-seam, so I assume a re-seal at some point.  The seal does look quite old though, and appear to have slight splits in a few places.

I have no idea the value of sealed games (and ebay only seems to have "factory sealed" for reference), but I paid $175. Was it a good deal?

  • Sorry man you got gipped

Those are reseals and worth the price of a CIB (assuming the have the manual and whatnot
  • They might not even have everything or the right stuff inside. Unfortunately, definitely not worth the $175 price tag. IMO.

    sadly :-(

  • Oh well. That's what I get for buying outside what I know. I only collect carts so I thought I could flip these to make some cash to buy more carts. I learned a tough $175 lesson today. I guess I'll try to find a creative way to make something good out of this. Perhaps on unboxing video on Youtube or something...
  • Well not a full $175 lesson, since you can sell them and get a portion of it back.

That is a great idea! If the wrong game is inside the seal, cue the Price Is Right fail music.
