Item lost in the mail?
So, a while ago I purchased a grey Hydro Thunder cart on ebay. I paid for it on October 17th, and the seller paid for their postage on the same day. It's now November 20th and I have yet to receive that item.
The seller was located in Washington state, and I'm in Ontario. Typically items from the US arrive in Canada within two weeks. I did once have an item take 3 weeks and 2 days so I am trying to be patient with this item, but it's now been over a month and I'm a bit worried.
I paid for First Class International shipping, so I have no tracking number. The seller did upload a customs number though. Here's a picture:

Can somebody explain this to me? This item is going to Canada, so why did they send it further south to California?
I've heard people say bad things about Canada Post in the past, but it looks to me like the USPS lost this item before it could get to Canada.
Somebody help me on this, I've never had a package get lost before.

Just out of curiosity, how much did you pay for a grey hydro thunder? (if you don't mind saying)
$25

To me it looks like the LA facility is the one that handles international shipping, hence the notation on the side. It sucks that it is taking so long, but I'd give it a little more time.
Now, that's totally possible. But it seems ineffecient. Washington borders Canada, so why not just get the item over the border ASAP, and then make Canada Post do the rest of the work?

My guess would be because there is an international airport in LA. As long as the item is moving around, I wouldn't worry too much about it, it is when it stops and doesn't do anything when you might want to worry a bit. International shipping can suck.
edit: did yall try calling the post office to figure it out?
I sent an NAer a First Class International package back in January. It was a $300+ item, so when 3-4 weeks passed, we were both worried. Sure enough, it arrived shortly thereafter with a "Missent to Barbados" stamped on the package (Ha). Sometimes they aren't the most efficient, but they generally get the job done.
