Game genie and Retron3

ok so I went to an Arc Thrift store today and came across a great haul of sega genesis games all for 50% off of what they were tagged because they always have half off sales on saturday. anyway, I take them home and shinobi 3 gives me a message saying it "only works on NTSC systems" or something similar to that. I also got ninja turtles hyperstone heist and ninja turtles tournament fighters (genesis version) and they just freeze up on the konami logo at start up and dont go to the next screen, and yes I cleaned them, I also have a second copy of tournament fighters and it does the same thing. So I was wondering if I use the sega game genie will it bypass those lock outs? I ask becasue I got the idea from a video on youtube where some guy in the UK tried to use his PAL copy of sonic 3 in the retron and it gave him a similar message that shinobi 3 gave me, but then he put the cartridge on his sonic and knuckles cart and it worked. every other game I got worked fine except xmen 2 only works when it wants to. if you know if this works please let me know. thanks in advance!



p.s. if you're curious i also got lion king, ecco the dolphin, beavis and butt-head, and robocop vs terminator in the haul. i also got crazy taxi for dreamcast CIB, a sealed dreamcast web browser, a sealed Sega GT for dreamcast, CIB syphon filter for ps1, CIB backyard baseball for PC, an OG gameboy with fall of the foot clan, and a GBA SP that I found out when I charged it, has broken shoulder buttons. but i got all this and what I mentioned above for $22.04 after tax! A total steal!!!

    flip the region switch on the back of your Retron. I have all those games and they all work fine.

    I had the same problem ,and a friend surgested that same thing,all I said was "the" .I think of myself as a smart person ,but that day I felt dumb as hell.
