Got GI Joe and it's kinda glitchy

I've tried this game in both the up and down positions inside the NES with mixed results.  I've gotten past level 1, but almost every playthrough will yield a result of the game glitching and stopping.  Basically, it'll just hang usually after beating a boss.

It's very clean within, I even gave it a second coat and wiped it off thoroughly.  I'm just wondering if this is a common problem with this cart?

    I hope not.  I was hoping to get some members to try out the game and see if they can get to level 2 without a hitch...  If not, I may have to return the cart.

    When you said it was glichy I thought you ment it still played through fine.  I never spent enough time playing it to even beat the 1st boss as it's just a game I would never play.  If you decide to send it back thats cool.  We can work out the details through pm or my email mginther_2soft@yahoo.com 

    Sorry bout' the game not being what you expected, I really thought with how clean it was there would be no problems.

    Could be the system that's dirty. Could also try the Game Genie trick. I've got a few stubborn games myself, but I know for a fact that my Taxan GI Joe works perfectly. There's not supposed to be any glitching at the first boss, or any other boss for that matter.
