One dude give me $20 for a big Black Ops 2 poster, not to mention the $20 I made from the gamecube gameboy player disc I found, & the $250 I got for the Keldeo distribution cart I found, all in the dumpsters. So forget the naysayers, & KEEP DIVING MY FRIENDS!!!!

i hate you for finding that keldeo cart....you always find the best stuff out of all of us regular swimmers
  • Whew, read the title and I thought you were talking about literally jumping into those big dumpsters and digging into the bags for stuff @_@

lmfao....see thats what happens when people brag about what they find with videos all over youtube

  • Sounds like it's time for Alex to do a Dumpster Stakeout. Bust those turf jumpers!!!
  • You know, instead of diving into dumpsters, you could just ask when they're throwing away their display materials. I've had good luck with this. No need to be fetching stuff out of the trash when they could just give it to you directly.

(Also they throw things out on Sundays, specifically every third Sunday)
  • ive asked before, but ive never gotten jack haha

swimming has proved much more beneficial

Where the hell's the fun in that?

They give the stuff to you in a box, clean and pristine, they won't try to flip you off, and you don't have to risk getting a handful of some teenage clerk's old nachos.

This bit of info proved beneficial for me this past sunday. I found 2 boxes of posters and such. All of the Wii-U Acc display boxes, about 10 of the Paper Mario sticker sheets, Star Wars 2 PSP CIB, etc. It was def a good find.
  • Found my NES in the garbage, also, yesterday I found a working wii with a fitness pad thing

From what I know, it is. Unfortunately all the stores in my area are in shopping centres and their dumpsters are behind those locked gates that you can't get past.
  • Dove last night and found an XBOX 360 box, 11 big display boxes and a huge Just Dance poster.

  • How hard is it for your guys to get rid of these things? Haha it's just that it seems that what you guys get is mostly posters, and I doubt you keep them all.
  • I sell alot of the posters quickly, especially the stuff like Halo 4 & Black Ops 2. Kids love that stuff. The really good stuff such as gameboy player discs, pokemon distribution cartridges, & unopened players guides I put on ebay & make some nice coin. Here is an example. Enjoy.

P.S. Another one went for $100 more a while after I sold mine. Only seen 3 others for sale besides the one I had, one here on NA auctions.
  • found nothing really as of recent, but i did realize that alot of the ds cases i have gotten have the club nintendo codes in them.

so 400 free club nintendo points woot woot lol
  • no more good finds?
  • Been dry for me. Havent had the chance to swing by there as much as I used to though.
  • Found a promo box for Pokemon White 2, Gears of War Judgement, and GTA V tonight along with a HUGE poster for Bioshock Infinite tonight. Was hoping for the Paper Mario display but was quite satisfied with what I got
  • i thought about this but then i went inside and talked to my local gamestop manager and he said no one takes anything home and they just throw it all away so he told me when they switch stuff out and said just let him know what i want and i can come pick it up
