If you make sure Dr. Morbis gets one for me, and mine comes with the ticket for a special edition cart, you can have it free of charge. I want the unmolested version anyway, and was planning to sell the special edition once I got it anyway. Just make sure Basil has a copy to bring me (and one for himself of course )

Btw...I have figured out how I'm going to do this whole numbers thing. NGD has mentioned numbering them, so I figure this is how it will be done: the lowest numbered copy will be assigned to pre-order #1, the second-lowest to pre-order #2, etc. For example, say there were 5 people, and I randomly pulled these numbered copies of the game:

The person who pre-ordered #1 (in this case, postermen) would get cart #16, the person who pre-ordered #2 (UncleTusk) would get #65, etc. It would pay off somewhat to get the early pre-order numbers, as the first one would get the $20 refund.
As for the question of what happens if I find a 2nd or potentially 3rd Special Edition cart in the pre-order lot, I'm beginning to like KennyB's idea. I will put the names into a hat (those who pre-ordered two will have their name in the hat twice), the same hat that I'll be wearing to the Expo (a Super Mario Bros. corduroy baseball cap from 1988), and I will draw out two names for each Special Edition cart after the first. The first name I draw out will be heads on a two-sided fair coin, the second name would be tails on the same coin. I will flip this coin from a height of no less than 4 feet, and I will let it hit the floor. Whichever side faces up, the same name who is assigned to that side of the coin will be the recipient of the Special Edition cart.

Dain is indeed correct. There will only be SE cart in the contest. The others are give aways to people who helped me make the game possible. I think I have 1 other extra cart, so I might do 2 SE carts in the contest. Plus there will be one up for auction at the expo as well.

All the Ditka's are now built, boxed, and ready to sell except the Spec Ed. ones. The winning contest card is also already packed away inside one of the lucky winning boxes to win a free SE version. I have no idea what box # it is in...I had my g/f pick the number and I walked out of the room. She jokingly said she might be bribed to reveal the #...not sure if she is serious or not.... good thing she isn't on NA for you boys to harass her, lol.
Just out of curiosity...if I actually pulled the card in the lot that I plan to purchase, could I just show you the card or would I actually have to hand over the card? Splitting hairs here ...

I already had thought the same thing. Batty bought a ticket even but then couldn't come. I still think there is an off chance they are both coming to surprise us all....I can only hope
well if anyone wants to donate American Airline Miles to me... say in the next two days, I'd be more than willing to make an appearance. But as of now I cannot fathom paying 800+ for a roundtrip ticket
It was claimed literally 10 minutes before we left the expo center. I forget who Jason said claimed it, but they didn't realize it until 8 hours later (whoops!)
8bitnes won it (close to that s/n anyways, I was drinking) He is a member of NA though for sure, not a local. He was so excited to get it as well. He told me he ran out of his room, forgot his keys and had to go back. Then he peeled out of the parking lot and drove like a mad man to the expo center. He came running in right past me mind you to get his free copy. I could tell his heart was racing and he was pumped to have won it. He said he called his parents and told them, and they were like "ok, cool" lol Congrats on the win sir.
