No child left behind, my old school lost millions cause of that crap, like 4/5 kids didnt care in that school the teachers always had to waster so much time on them (when they werent ditching) and they didnt care, than at the last week they would say "how can i raise my grade up to an A." No child left behind forces the school to go to rediculous lengths to make sure kids who dont wanna be there stay.
^^^ Ron Paul? seriously, given the options McCain is the best choice. Obama has never taken a principled stand on anything in his entire life. Any promises he makes is a joke, and electing him would be a sure fire way to have more money leave my pocket after he raises taxes across the board.
I like obama and think he knows what america needs, but like you said he didnt keep his promises when he was an official in chicago. However, i still want him to win over mccain
Barack doesn't know how many houses he owns either.. Google it, I'm sure you'll see some articles about how Obama owns more houses then he knows about...
How is all of the change Obama talks about good? When he doesn't talk specifics?
i don't recall saying anything about supporting Obama, can you show me where i said that? and i see you avoided responding to me when i asked what you meant about the whole black when its convenient thing, then you conveniently edited it, and what about McCain wanting to stay in Iraq, do you seriously support that?
I support staying until the Iraqis tell us to get out........
If you don't support McCain, who else but Obama??
and that is going to accomplish what? what right do you have to be there anywhere? once again you didn't explain your comment that i called into question earlier.
I edited out my comment, because after I wrote it I decided it wasn't exactly what I meant to say..
Hence no comment....
what right did Canadian tropps have there??
The world wants to blame the US for its' problems, but when we step up, we're wrong..
^^^ Fortunately you're too you to vote In all seriousness, I can understand how Obama appears to be this great charismatic guy and is attractive to younger voters, but I'm a young guy and I'm smart enough to see through the ruse. As far as slant, I'm a libertarian, so I'm against pretty much ALL the big government B.S. that Obama stands for. I guess poor people will be no worse off with that guy in office, but anybody who makes money (or aspires to make money) will be hosed.
That said, if 80% (4/5) of the kids at your school didn't care, they deserved to lose federal funding.
Clearly, your teachers failed to provide motivation, the kids parents didn't care enough to be involved, and any number of other things were going on to have that many "problem children".

would you stop answering a question with a question, once again putting words in my mouth, i never said i support canadian troops in iraq, which i don't, and that last sentence doesn't even make any sense.
Obama is the biggest two face politician out there... First, he talks about 'change' yet who does he select for his VP? JOE BIDEN, lol a longstanding congressman (30 yrs) who's been jaded by the very political process Obama supposedly wants to change? Obama ripped on Hillary for months about being the 'same old' game playing, pandering, politician that we citizens have had to deal with over the years... guess what, BIDENS worse, lol. Infact Obama ripped McCain for being a longstanding politician, he said " McCain won't bring us the change we're looking for, he's been a part of our flawed goverment for over 30yrs, blah blah blah"
lets not forget Obamas racist pastor... For 20 years Obama hailed this man as his minister, was married by him, babtized by him, a very good family friend, and he even hailed him a a father figure. reverand wright is a racist piece of crap. Come on, "white man enginered the aids virus to destroy black people" he says this type of sht with no conviction and this who OBama hails as a father figure? If that's the kind of change we can look forward to I'd just assume have Bush another four years, and I don't really like Bush.
Oh, this isn't an endorsment for McCain. I just loath Obama and the millions of sheep who don't listen (or don't understand) the hypocrytical lies coming out of his mouth. Choosing between McCain and Obama is like choosing between a Steaming pile of shit, or just a pile of shit.

i would say more like 3/5 but it was the easiest schooland the teachers would pass sport athletes that didnt do anything, it isnt the teachers, its a horrible area with a lot of gang activity and drug deals that go on there, and kids are sucked into that. The parents dont care, im just glad im out of that school.
^^^ I'm glad you're out of there as well. Sounds like a seriously shitty situation.
It's false to say that the teachers can't help, though. By high school it's probably too late, but if people actually cared and weren't just apathetic the community could work to change the way those kinds of kids grow up. Parents caring is a HUGE part of having a good school district, as I'm sure any of the teachers on the board will tell you. But similarly important are teachers that actually wield authority and respect. Evidently the teachers at your former school had neither.
Again, I'm glad to hear that you're not stuck there anymore!

ya Im at a college/highschool now so i take college classes and get free shit and get to play mario bros during lunch!!!
I follow US politics way more than I follow Canadian politics.
I personally think that both McCain and Obama are good candidates. Either way I think it'll be good for the country. I don't know what the difference between a Democrat and a Republican is, but they both seem like they'll be good. I'm not an American citizen, but I do have a second house in the States.
^^^ Well Gustav came and went. I'm keeping my eye on Hanna. I live in the Hampton Roads area, so we may, or may not, be in the direct path come Saturday!
