I think he mentioned something along those lines, though there really isn't much of a demand for Famicom cart shells. I gotta admit, transparent Famicom carts would be awesome, like this.
Alternatively, I had this idea for this NES cartridge that was both a Famicom to NES adapter and a Famicom cartridge. The FC cart would have an unorthodox design, but it's more or less just "a cool idea" than practical. Though I am curious if it's possible at all for the game to detech whether the game is in an NES or not, to automatically switch languages.
What I'd love is a famicom sized cart shell for NES PCB's, (now that I've got a top loader I don't need all that cart). I've always hated the large design of the NES cartridge and the only reason it was ever that big is so you can reach the pin connector deep inside the Toaster NES. The PCB's are less than half the size of the NES cartridge shells.
I don't have any Famicom carts, but it looks like they are also not as wide, so NES PCB's wouldn't fit, and the cart wouldn't mate with the pin connector inside the console either.
It would just be a sleek outfit on my desk, having a 101 and a small collection of maybe 10 classic games, re-fitted in mini-cart shells, with custom labels.
I like bright bold colors for famicom carts, but transparent is cool too. I also second the screw suggestion. Famicom carts are a nightmare to open, ESPECIALLY pirates. They're usually glued shut, lol
The NES carts are such a waste of plastic. I love the grey box but it's really a stupid design from a hardware perspective. Not to mention the boxes - why not just make the boxes the size of the cart like those PAL(?) ones were. I actually like that box design better, but oh well .. reminds me of 3DO games... -shudder-

When is the Red NES Shells going to be back in stock on RetroUSB??

A remold of Famicom carts would be cool, but I would suggest making one with screws. Taking Famicom carts apart is a nightmare sometimes.
