Hi all! New here first actual post besides on the introduce yourself so I am not sure if I am uploading the picture correctly or not. Me and my friend went to a local video game store, we are pretty good friends with the store owner, and my friend had some games he wanted to trade to him. While they were working out a trade, we were in his office just hanging out with him playing some games with him and trading some games, he had a stack of SNES games that he just got in on trade and didn't look through them yet. I walked over to look at them and most were common titles like Mortal Kombat, Super Mario World, etc. and there was a stack of probably 25-30 games. I almost quit looking through them and at the very bottom of the stack I found Aero Fighters! i got extremely excited, being a SNES collector, and asked him how much. He didn't know what he had and after I informed him of the background of the game and about 2 hours of negotiations and owing my friend some games for helping me out, I traded him a complete in box black 3DS, Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3DS CIB, and a red 3DS XL CIB. I traded a good bit but he is a good friend and has given me countless deals so I didn't mind the price tag for an extremely rare and fun game!

Cool find but you did trade a good bit for it.
I could have had this game, but i was nice and gave it to my friend who collects snes after finding it for 25 bucks. Damnit lol, this thread just reminded me I didnt have it.
double checking the bay, it has sold for 280 twice and 330 from eva, so not quite double, but still ouch. Looking a little better though. This game is a bitch to find.

yeah i understand helping out his friend, but what friend would do that to you? and its closer to 400 worth of stuff. If hes happy hes happy, but i would personaly have never done that. Friendship goes both ways. The owner didnt know what he had and he already helped him out by telling him value. A nice inbetween ebay sale and what he would have sold it for would have sufficed for both. If I had a store, and I gave a friend good deals its because I want them to come back and buy more stuff or just to be nice. I would ever take advantage of a nice gesture like that. Bad business move really. Atleast for me it would be.

lol you got semi screwed there man in that situation. Glad you helped out a friend, glad you got the game you wanted and your happy. The game is hard to track down.

He can do that, he has the means and a store. One 3ds CIB would have sufficed. He is also getting stuff hed be able to sell easier. Dont let people take advantage of you. That. He is a store, how much did he pay for the game when he bought it?
If you're happy with the trade, then thats all that matters.
They don't know the full situation, only you do. But, other members are making some pretty good points, so just hear out their opinions. There are some very knowledgeable people on this site when it comes to the value and business side of things, it's nothing personal.

I think you got a great deal and did a nice thing for your buddy and his family. Doner hit the nail on the head with this game going up in price as the others are currently going down, you definitely got the better end on the collectibility part of the deal and current value wise, not bad at all..
Don't let the other members get to ya. If you're happy with the deal, who is it to critique.
