Updated 3/2/13- N64 & GC Buys

New to this forum. Been buying/selling games for the last 4 or 5 years

Last week, went to the local Goodwill. NEVER find anything good for games.

Found 2 Gameboy carriers in their showcase. I checked to see if the systems were in there. Paid the $30 price tag and took them out to the car. After digging, found the following:

GameBoy Color (Atomic Purple) with battery cover

Cobalt GameBoy Advanse SP

Original DS (Bad Hinge)

14 games

Tetris (GB)

Mario Land 2 (GB)

Donkey Kong Land 2 (GB)

Namco Museum (GBA)

007 Everything or Nothing (GBA)

Medal of Honor Infiltrator (GBA)

Then the meat & potatoes!

8 Pokemon Games

All 6 Original GB games (Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal)

Sapphire & Ruby for GBA

Already made my money back.

Then today, picked up this rarity for $40! Brand new sealed!

  • Nice finds dude! Welcome to NA.
  • Sealed Packy and Marlon is a pretty awesome find. I paid about $175 for mine and I felt I got a decent deal.
  • Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah. couldn't help but grab it for that price!
  • Diabetus!!
  • Great find! And welcome. Never heard of that SNES game before.
  • Wilford Brimley would be proud of my pick up.

    Yeah me neither.
  • Dang, how were those meat and potatoes?
  • Hah, I picked up a loose cart Packy & Marlon this weekend. Had to play it, it was as awesomely-awful as anticipated.

  • But it helped you remember to check your insulin levels, didn't it?
  • Slow week at work so I was checkin' out CL listings and found a couple that piqued my interest.

1st was the N64 lot. I saw it on Monday. He just had a picture of the system with 3 controllers and a Nintendo 64 game drawer with 11 games. He was asking $125.

I called him to get a list of games, since the picture just showed the tops of the games. He rattled of the list and I was writing them down as fast I could: Super Smash Bros, Zelda, Starfox, "a couple racing games", 007. I said ok, thanks and told myself "I will call him on Thursday (Payday) and offer him $100. Well Thursday comes around and I see that he has reposted it for $100. I give him a call and work him down to $85.

    Games were:

    Killer Instinct Gold

    Zelda- OOT

    Doom64

    Super Smash Bros

    GoldenEye

    San Fran Rush

    Rush 2: Extreme Racing USA

    WaveRace

    1080

    Starfox

    Diddy Kong Racing.

He also had a Game Shark (V2.2) and 1 of the controllers is the Gold controller. I'm happy with that purchase. Keeping StarFox, but everything else is available. System has the Jumper Pak in it.

Then, yesterday afternoon I did my normal search and found a listing of a ton of miscellaneous this person was trying to sell. In the lot was a pic of 30 "Wii" games for $35. The games were actually Game Cube games. I didn't see any GREAT titles in there except Super Smash Bros Melee. I figured I would get about $20 for Melee, and could sell the rest pretty easily. So I emailed the guy and said I was interested in those and a Nintendo he had listed for $15. On my way to pick up the 1st collection, he called me and we lined up a meeting time/place.

I get there and his car is PACKED with all the shit that he is trying to sell. He brings out the games and I start going through them. All of the games are in less than mint, with what looks like superficial scratches and scuffs. The collection dwindles from 30 games down to 26, as some games are not in the case. So I got the 26 games and the nintendo (missing the AV Cord) for $35.

Get the stuff home and spent all morning testing it. All the games work except for 2, one of which is... you guessed it... Smash Bros Melee.

I'm hoping that I can get it resurfaced.

So anyways, here are the GC games I got. Most of them are going on my local Buy/Sell/Trade page on Facebook at $5 each.

    Nicktoons Unite (w/ manual)

Legends of Wrestling (w/ manual; former Blockbuster rental)

ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 (no manual)

Smashing Drive (w/manual; former Blockbuster rental)

    Shrek 2 (w/ manual)

    Cars (w/ manual)

Monster's Inc Scream Arena (no manual)

    Burnout (no manual)

    Conflist Desert Storm (no manual)

Teen Titans (w/ manual and very few scratches)

    Disney Sports Soccer (No manual)

    Spider-Man (no manual)

    Hulk (no manual)

Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions (w/ manual)

    Discs only:

Tak & the Great Juju Challenge

    Hello Kitty Roller Rescue

    Keeping these:

    Rampage Total Destruction

Dora and the Journey to the Purple Planet

    Tony Hawk's American Wasteland

    Shrek Super Slam

    Finding Nemo

    These didn't work

    Super Monkey Ball 2

    Super Smash Bros Melee

The Nintendo is in pretty poor shape, with really yellowed/dingy controllers, but it did come with RBI Baseball (gray cart), so I was still definitely worth the $35.

    Thanks for lookin'!
