This is why I love waiting for newly listed Buy It Nows

I was waiting until it arrived in the mail to post about it, but this past weekend I was searching the newly listed Buy It Nows and saw a lot listed for $300 shipped. I quickly glanced over the titled, did a double take to make sure I wasn't reading the listing incorrectly, and bought it as quickly as I could. Here are pictures of everything I got along with the titles below the pictures.

All in all I'm pretty damn happy especially considering that although I'd seen Misadventures of Tron Bonne in the pictures, it wasn't listed in the listing, so I wasn't sure if I'd receive it. Jackie's Chan's Action Kung Fu was not pictured nor mentioned, so that was a nice surprise too.

Comments

  • Wow. I kept expecting the pictures to end but the games kept on coming. Nice snag.
  • Nice snag, I've been trying to find a cheap tomba for the better part of a decade.
  • Tons of great titles in there...you can game for years with those!
  • Very nice, I'm sure you just barely beat a few people to it.
  • Unreal man. Nice find.
  • Holy Crap! That's a TON of stuff! Nice score!
  • Hot damn! Awesome.
  • Watch out, that Gremlins 2 was owned by G. G. Allin!
  • Holy fuck Tron Bonne. Sick find man! I really wonder how people get good deals on ebay, I mean if you are selling on ebay don't you wanna research your stuff? For $300, this was a steal.
  • Steal nothing, highway robbery really. Great job, lots of stuff and fast on the trigger finger. I've done the same in the past on single game items like when I got Lufia 2 w/a beat up manual and map for $25 shipped. When they come, you just have to be lucky and fast to it buy it now.
  • That Daytona for Saturn... is that the rare version? the one that uses the netlink?
  • Wow, great find! How long was it listed till you snagged it?
  • Scott84 - I'm not sure. It is the Championship Circuit Edition and not just the regular Daytona USA

YoshiBerry - It wasn't listed for longer than 3-4 minutes before I bought it.
  • you know after the first few pics I wasnt that impressed until I seen the PS1 lot, probably worth the price alone! the valkrie profile is pretty pricey to find as well, nice job!
  • That is a mouth-watering lot for 300 bucks. Congrats!
  • Holy shit the ps1 games alone cover your price...
  • if that Daytona USA has a netlink logo on the disk and a netlink manual with the normal manual, then this is the find of the year.

Is the netlink logo something really obvious, because I'm not seeing anything that says anything about a netlink? I think it's just Daytona USA: Championship Circuit Edition.

Yeah its obvious. Says 'Net Link Edition' on the cover of the manual, right under the picture.
  • If you decide to let go of Silhouette Mirage, let me know.
  • I keep coming back to this as I like the selection there, but oddly it reminds me I really need to stop waffling and try and track down Jackie Chan and Kings Quest 5.
  • the pictures just kept coming and coming and coming.......i got to the ps1 stuff. saw the tronne bonne , tomba and VP etc and was like oh this dude got a sick deal.

nice find man. ebay deals still exist. you just have to be lucky sometimes and show persistence.

They do still exist. I was pretty bummed out about an hour before I scored this because I just missed out on a very good condition complete Soul Blazer for $50 shipped.

But there are definitely small scores to be had rather frequently. Other scores I got this past week are: Killer Instinct Gold CIB for $22 shipped, Dark Cloud 2 complete for $15 shipped, Resident Evil longbox complete for $20 shipped, and Breath of Fire IV disc only for $5 shipped.

  • It's all about a lot of luck and timing if you don't just use some lame program that hunts for you at certain lowball price caps, and even then, luck if your app was faster than someone else's. I mean a month ago I was searching the next 24hours closing on NES stuff for deals, when I was 20pages deep and through I hit it back to 'new' and pop up for moment was Faria with the mail away map for $70 shipped. I had $6 in ebay bucks, and shipping ended up being $4, so I scored the game for $40 and the map for $20 and that blew my mind and the guy was honest too entirely on the condition description and images. Very lightly and gently used, then stored away until recently and the game is what some collector would use the term 'gem mint' on as it doesn't have a smudge or scuff anywhere as it looks like out of box new, same for the map too other than a small marker and ink mark on one of the little map pics on the map.
  • i think you could have got all for 250 if you would had pm the guy

if he pm'd him it would have been gone. lol dont get greedy
  • I think he would have got nothing because somebody else would've bought it for $300.

Daytona Netlink is a purple disc that says CCE Netlink Edition with a black and white netlink manual in addition to the regular Championship Circuit manual. The case art is identical for both which makes searching auctions a fun task.

You can still get lucky with auctions too. I recently picked up a CIB Panzer Dragoon Saga for $160 somehow. That one is harder to explain though.
