My Growing Genesis Collection

  • A big package I've been waiting for finally came (or rather I had to go track it down at the post office)

    11 more cardboard additions

14 in clamshells (yay for crossing Truxton off the list)

And while not new to my collection, I figured I'd share pics of my second cardboard Sonic 2:

And once I update the first post this will bring my total collection of boxed games up to 211.  w00t for passing the 200 mark!
  • We've all learned through this forum that the cardboard box release of Sonic 2 is somewhat uncommon and it has become quite an item of interest. I wonder if other SEGA forums pay much attention to it? I think this forum might know a little more about cardboard releases due to the cardboard box project. Cool to see you managed to pick up another copy.
  • Very nice, Sander!
  • Oh man, lots of packages today. It's getting hard to keep track of everything!

    Some EA/Accolade Stuff

All these are missing the manuals

All CIB, I think only PTO is missing the hang-tab

    Cardboard

Where in Time is Carmen San Diego Cardboard Big Box
  • Wow, that indeed is a lot of stuff. It is hard to keep track of what you are getting and have got when a lot is coming in all at once. Nice score on the box-set and a lot of other stuff to play and keep you occupied when you're not not working / studying.
  • Dang man, you be keepin' your postal service worker a jerb!

Now lock your windows and carry a gun cause I'm a comin' with a pillowcase.

Haha. I would have expected that more from dane. I figured he would sell his collectiong and then steal it back in the middle of the night.

Only thing I steel from people's houses in the middle of the night is their children. Heck, I'll do it in the middle of the day in a quiet neighbourhood if they leave their windows open. Young and healthy organs sell like hot-cakes on the black market as rich elitists will do anything for their sick kids.

Sounds like a quick way to pay off that mortgage.

If only, I hate how you're not allowed to sell kids. You need a license to own some reptiles but not a kid? Then you should be allowed to sell one.
  • Oh yeah I keep my mailman busy. I know him personally now. His name is Charles.

Won a few more lots today, plus I've got some empty boxes coming! haha
  • A lot of stuff came in over the last week and a half:

Some EA games. Only Starflight is missing the manual.

Most complete. Rolling Thunder 2 is missing the manual, as are a sports game or two.

Cardboard. F22 and Jungle Strike are sealed.

Nothing too special, but nice to have a few more cardboard releases.

All are CIB, except Tournament Fighters and Mazin Saga which I received box only and added carts that I had to them.

I'm going to try to update the list in the first post, but I think I'll also start using the SA collection tool so that I can see percentages of how many games I have etc.
  • We have not had an update in over a week, I know you have had to buy a few Genesis games
  • right you are:

After seeing that one Lost World end for $81 I figured I should grab one just in case prices spiked.  Lucky for me, the one I found ended up being $10 shipped.

SeaQuest DSV is also a good pick-up and I've got Magic School Bus in the mail as well.  Trying to knock out some of the cardboard box games that don't come up for auction as often.
  • I would like to add Chase HQ II to the collection eventually, I love that series. Can't wait for MGC next month, itching to buy some sega goodness.
  • Dang Molotov, always catching me sleeping on that Lost Worlds. Man I've been looking for this for a while now and seeing you just snagged one I'm a bit jealous.
