Shadow of the Colossus Media Kit and rare discs
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping you can help me with some information about the Shadow of the Colossus (SotC) media kit or any other rare SotC discs. I'm not a collector as such but I'm very interested in any early video footage or demos that were released.
From what I have gathered there should be some discs floating around out there somewhere that might feature video footage showing a couple of the 'discarded' colossi, the Spider and an early version of the bird (Avion). A friend of mine recently translated parts of the art book and in it the creator Fumito Ueda says 'At the first public debut of Shadow of the Colossus, several Colossi were displayed in material distributed to the press. The bird-type Colossus and spider-type Colossus were nearly completed'. I'm hoping this means the Spider and early bird were part of this distributed material... but I may be wrong.
All we have of the discarded colossi are a few grainy images from the art book, if there's a chance to find some actual video footage of them in action that would be amazing! If you're interested you can read more about them in my blog entry here: http://nomads-sotc-blog.blogspot.com.au/2011/07/unusedbeta-colossi.html
There isn't much information about the press kit on the web but I have found a few images of the discs that come with it, so if anyone has them could you please tell me exactly what these discs have to offer in the way of video footage or game play? I would buy it myself but they are rare to find and quite expensive (the last one I saw had already been sold for $430.00 (US)!

This disc has some video and a demo game, I would like to know what demo version this is, the title screen will be enough for me to work this out as I own all three demos (OPM, PSU & PAL). My guess is that it will the E3 OPM demo but I'd like to know for sure. The video parts may be stuff that has been uploaded to Youtube in the past, trailers and the like, but then again it may be new to those of us who have never owned the media kit.

The Press materials disc, again I'm very curious to know what this features.

Press info disc/European tour in 2005. I guess this would show Team Ico at game shows doing interviews etc. but it might also have some new surprises.

Review disc - again I would like to know which review this is.

A member on the 'Video Game Memorabilia Museum' forums recently posted images of a couple of promotional dvds that had trailers on them for use in game stores. These I think are very rare and may have early footage of the colossi.
There is also a demo out there that features the first three colossi. So this is a demo that I have never seen before and I can only find one single reference to it so it is extremely rare! It's mentioned in a review by the Gamespot site director Greg Kasavin - you can watch the review video here:

Around August 2009 a pre-release version of the game appeared which has many unique differences to the final versions. I'm still trying to track down the person who first acquired this rare find, all I know is his name was Tim and he posted the disc plus some others for sale on the Unseen64 website. The person who bought them (a user known as unclejun aka: lolo486) never received it in the mail so it was lost forever! But he did get an ISO file that he kindly distributed to fans.
You can read all about this version in my blog post here:

I'm not sure if a media kit was released with the HD (PS3) remake but if it was then there may be still more material to find. The game went through many builds so there may just be some unseen footage or even playable demos that remain to be found.
I know this is a lot to ask in a first post but I have exhausted all other avenues in trying to find out more, so any help you can offer would be much appreciated.
Thank you all ; )
