How to fix a 72-pins connector
Got some toasters with bad pins (grey screen 80% of the tries)
how to make them working again? (or atleast a lot better).. buying new connectors is not an option cuz they cost more then i payed for the system
is there a tutorial or something on how to get the tension back on the pins?

should be titled "how to cook your 72-pin connector"
I gotta say that is one of the craziest solutions I have ever heard of or seen. I love the detailed photos.
i'm surprised rachel ray doesn't try this shit out sometime.
that method looks insane. But, it also looks cheap, so maybe that will do the trick for you without any need to spend much.
I dunno, but I am going to try this very very soon... Got a bunch of systems to fix.
not sure i'll do it right the first time tho
not sure i'll do it right the first time tho
The be sure and film it!!
is the Blinking light problem allways caused by a bad connector? (except for playing pal on ntsc or vise versa)
Edit: Pserge, i think you're right. Heat is good!
if it worked.. i'm gonna do another one and film it
And do several at the same time. Saves a lot of work!

That`s like Fing cooking a Connector.
And we know how to get the tops off of our Toasters.
And I think he's worse then me....
Bumping this old thread since I'm about to try this.
I'll post results when I'm done.
edit: The connector didn't melt or anything, but I plugged it back into the NES and am still only getting a solid color screen.
