Shafted again . . . .

I have to say it's the best value I've gotten for a CE in a long time.
Steel book was a Gamestop exclusive and they're up on ebay, but for a high price.
Out of the robust 400 pages in the guide, there are close to 20 or so art pages (it may have been 26) and 6 pages of storyboard art. I'll try to take some more pics tonight if you'd like.

Ooooooo boy. The US edition craps all over our CE Tim. The price works out about the same for both but all we got was the plushie, the Wizard's Companion and some crappy DLC.

True, but did you all have the same issues they had over here with over selling? I just feel lucky enough to have got mine. Although I will agree. The US versions lately have been getting a lot better when we're able to compare and these art cards are pretty sweet. I have yet to open the cd because they are only two tracks on it and I can easily access them via youtube. The coin is cool, but something else I probably won't open. Really, the Wizards companion is where it's at and the art cards are the only thing we got the really sets it apart.
What DLC did EU get? Was it the 2 gold familiars you get with the WE?

Did the guide come with the Wizard Edition, Tim or was it a bonus of some sort ??
I bought the guide seperate for $34 and came with gold Hurly DLC. I did get a 20% discount for preordering at Gamestop. The Wizards companion, art cards, coin, plush, and game with a golf mite and gold familiar (esters first familiar). That stell case was for preordering at Gamestop.

Don't think we got the steelbook pre-ordering option - unless i missed it - which is a shame because I'm a steelbook nut.

I got all that stuff but instead of the display box, I got the store display poster. I have been looking for the box! And I agree about the fact that its definitely the best collectors edition Ive seen in a while. In the last 4 years Ive only bought 3 games for my PS3 collectors editions. MK and God of War 3 but this one blew them away imo. And the game blows away anything Ive ever played before. I really hope this gets other jrpgs brought over out of Japan (hello future Dragon Quest games).
I'd love to see a picture of the poster. I have a varient of the box with some art on the front as well, and I may have a poster, but I'm not sure (both are hiding in a box somewhere).
1. Nothing extra. We got art cards, a coin, and a soundtrack. EU got DLC...
2. The inside art of the case isn't colored. WTH Namco? To cheap to color a CE case?
3. The box containing everything for the WE is just overall crap compared to the US. While I like the familiars at the bottom on the sleeve, the option to have a nice little display with some beautiful art next to it on the opening cover in the US version is much nicer.
I can now see why people over seas would be upset with this CE.

Which begs the question . . .why do US/UK/Euro CEs vary so much in quallity. Wouldn't it be easier all round if every edition was the same for every region (except Japan, of course) ??

Because it's upto the publisher and in different regions there's different tastes in regions, different manufatures etc and generally different markets.

That understandable, and I could see them with a mindset "well this will sell anyway". I always wonder why we never got those sweet PSP Square Enix CE. Not even a sniff.
If you have an extra box, let me know. I cant seem to find one.
