Video Power - An NES-related game show

I watched this back in the day.  Oh the cheesiness.  Check it out:

If anyone watches part 2, what was the first game the guy names off?  It sounds like "Shidu".

  • Pffft... wish that guy would give ME a sealed copy of Battletoads for losing!
  • It's funny how everyone is amazed at how Johnny Arcade can answer the scripted questions with ease.  I remember watching this show when I was younger, good stuff.
  • ^ Yeah, the best part was when the last kid was too dumb/nervous to remember his scripted question so he had to read it off a sheet of paper, so to cover that up the announcer guy says, "little Johnny here has brought a question from home."

Man, is it just me or do the 80's seem so much more wacky now than they did when we were living through them?

They do seem a little wacky now looking back.  Heres a questions, Is the secondary anouncer the same guy who did the NWC compitition?  If not, they sure do look a lot alike.
  • The announcer is Terry Lee Torok and is the same guy that did the NWC, good eye. He does voiceover work mainly (duh hehe)

The chubby kid who ricked the piss out of TMNTII goes on to win a Neo Geo at the end of the week "tournament of champions" by snagging the secret prize.
