The Last of US: Collectors Edition

Well they finally did it and man are they sweet. 2 different CE for The Last of Us. The difference between them is also major as one includes a (what appears to be fantastic) art book, while the other replaces the book for a sure to be collectors favorite statues of Joel and Ellie. Here's the photos below. Also, at the time of this posting, Gamestop has already sold out of the Post-Pandemic Edition (telling myself I'm lucky every time I see this photo) and it only took close to 48 hours.



I have to say the US got the better end of the deal on this one as I love the box art for ours more. I think the only thing I envy out of the EU edition are the posters. Still, they all are awesome!

    Well I often hear US collectors moaning about their editions but we, in the UK, certainly got the shit end of the stick on this one.



    Yeah, two editions but both basically the same and as boring as arseholes compared to the US editions. We deserve better IMHO

    Depends. They're nice editions for a nice price but those cases look as if they could be steelbooks in which case they're well worth it.

    Reading on the EU Playstation Blog, I think I saw someone say there is NO steel book case in either EU version.

    Had the UK version been released with that big artbook I would have been tempted, as it is not and our edition has been compromised I'll just get the standard edition.

    No there is no steelbook in either UK version, which is another big disappointment. Having said that the GAME price for the Elle edition is not bad at £55.

    For those who are in the states, Gamestop seems to have gotten more in so pre-order while you can.

    So far, the UK is only getting the two. I pre-ordered both - One from GAME, and the other from ShopTo.



    A bit disappointing that the two CE's we get are near identical. They're not even all that special either. It's also a bit ridiculous that you have to buy both in order to get all of the DLC, although I would imagine it will become available on PSN at a later date

    I presume you mean the LBP codes? I see what you mean but I'll ebay 'em so I'll have both. There again I'm getting the post pandemic edtipn so I'll have to buy both.

    I guess if you really wanted you could buy both and sell the copy with the codes you don't want away. I'm sure you'd get a little bit of money back.

    It's a bit lame that Naughty Dog chose to release two near identical mid-tier LE's here, and no big CE. Even worse is that GAME and ShopTo have actually bothered to fight over the exclusives of each



    I also think it's poor form that the Post Pandemic Edition doesn't include everything from the Survival Edition - Rule #1 is that if they're going to offer tiered editions, the highest tier should include EVERYTHING from the one below it! When will these publishers ever learn?

    Then the edition would've been dangerously close to the $200 mark. Besides it's available seperately.

    I hate horror type games. Games that get your blood running because you don't know whats around the next corner. Always freaks me out..... but I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS!!!

    Post pandemic but it sold out ages. It's actually limited.
