World of Nintendo Neon Sign

World of Nintendo Sign side 1

World of Nintendo Neon Sign side 2

I found this in a pawn shop recently while looking for NES games. It was broken in two places and the only part that would light up was the word Nintendo

As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted it. I asked if it was for sale and was told “No, it’s for display purposes and it’s not for sale”. I was pretty discouraged and disappointed.

Since this pawn shop is one that I frequent when searching for retro games I ended up stopping in there a month later and figured I would ask again. This time I was told “Yes, we can sell it to you but it’s partially broken”.

Needless to say I purchased it and now my mission was to get it fixed. I found a local neon shop that fixed the broken neon tubes and recharged it with the gas.

I haven’t seen too many of these online and I’m not sure how much it’s worth but I plan on keeping it for a long time.

  • How much was it? Awesome
  • Awesome sign. I would put it around $300-350 in value, but could see it selling for more if the seller was patient.

How much was the neon repair?

I bought a Nintendo neon several months back now that was sold "as is" because one of the tubes smoked. Took it to a shop and they said the tube was bad but could be repaired. They quoted me $90 for the repair and recharge.
  • I keep hoping I will come across one of these in the wild personally. My girlfriend would kill me if I brought it home, lol, but damn do I want one for my future game room.
  • I've been looking to get my hands on something like this for a LONG time; congrats on your find!
  • I paid $50.00 for the sign. Here's what it looked like when I first got it:

I paid $100 to get it fixed. So I have $150 into it altogether.

  • That's a fantastic deal you got on it, then.
  • wow, nice find. Grats on the restore as well.
  • Very nice! I have that exact sign and haven't seen too many of them. It sure is bright!

I haven't seen many of these either. That's cool you have the same one. I'm happy with the restore and I thought $100 was a fair price to fix it. It  really is bright. It's funny because outside it shines through my blinds so much that my neighbors must wonder what I have going on in my game room lol

  • Nice! I think the back is just as cool as the front!
  • Yeah I think I like the back of it better, awesome sign either way. It's funny that pawn shop wouldn't sell that sign at first, they'll sell anything if they can profit. Hell, if you offered enough cash to buy their cash register they'd take it.
  • That Nintendo sign rocks! Congrats man! I'd love to own that in my bar someday.
