Another Nice Gamecube Lot, as well as some handheld goodness!

Picked this lot up for $70 today. Story behind this, I was browsin CL at around 11pm EST last night and saw an ad for this lot. Guy was asking $50. Decent price for what I thought was a decent lot being Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Luigi's Mansion, considering I didn't have any of them yet except for Wind Waker. I ask if he would take $40, and he tells me some other guy wants it for $50 and he is waiting for a response. I then leave it for a while and forget about it. Then I decide to check up on the ad again, this time realizing that it wasn't just a normal Wind Waker, but the Wind Waker/Ocarina of Time combo disc variant! I then quickly message the guy saying that I'd pay $70 if he could hold it for me and I can meet right away tomorrow. Guys says sure, then when I meet up with him today, he tells me that I did a good job, and that I beat 6 other people to the lot. He even told me that some guy offered him $125 for it, but he decided to honor his word on holding it for me. Now I know I kind of undercut the other guy who wanted it for $50, but seriously though, it's a rare game!

Next two items were bought on Amazon, HM was on sale for $30 (still is? maybe? idk???) and I've been meaning to get Hyrule Historia since it came out, but I was too lazy. Figured this was the best time to use my free trial of Prime. Only thing that's sad about this is that the corners on the book are pretty beat up. Like seriously if I were to display it on my shelf, the corners are bad enough so you can see it from the other side of my room. Oh well, Amazon wins again with poor shipping padding.

Now this, this is something special for me. I've been wanting this game for a WHILE now and I managed to catch Gamestop slipping on it! I literally almost put in some bids on an auction ending today for this game, and was willing to shell out $80 for it. But luckily I had been browsing the GS website last night and checked up on this game, and it said LOW STOCK on a store that was very near me. So after school, I checked out the shop right away. They have a really nice selection of very cheap DS rpgs that I want, but for now I just grabbed this one. I'm probably going to go back and get the others. This gamestop seems to have some of the best games, but is unfortunately (or fortunately for me) not in the best location and doesn't sell them all. Oh well, happy to get this game for as cheap as it says on the sticker! I'm leaving it there just for a reminder, as well as keeping the receipt inside

  • Good scores!! Nice to see him honoring his word and holding the items for you when he got a higher offer.

Don't you just love the feeling of getting something that a bunch had chimed in for?
  • Nice! You're always finding good Gamecube deals. Also, thanks for the reminder about the Hyrule Historia book. I still need to pick that up.

Yeah, it's definitely rare to see honest sellers on craigslist these days.

Thanks man! And yeah, it's a pretty neat book, and you can get it on amazon for cheap!
  • Great lot dude. Ive been on the lookout for the Zelda variants on GC.

I have to say getting on undercut CL is a bitch though. It has happened to me so many times lol.
  • Rare Zelda stuff is so hard to get. The usual hipsters/resellers buy it just for the name, not even knowing that this particular game is rare.
  • You done well man.
