Some if the seller was in my own state I would have his balls in a sling but its in another state. Ill see what the postal inspectors does first.. I just want my stuff if I get no luck thru the postal service I probally will go with criminal charges
  • Have you resolved the situation yet?

That cracks me up that if this seller was in your state you'd have his balls. I can just imagine you guys showing up at his house, and then the look on his face!! I need a video of that.

Hope you got your stuff though!

  • Im finding out criminals have it made. It is almost impossible to get anything done with ebay or the post office. Ive now come to the conclusion I will pay with a credit card and not paypal or money order. By being ripped off both as a buyer and seller I know to go with a credit card.
  • I'm almost right there with you. The seller "nesgamedude" just won a complaint against me for over $200 because his post office didn't leave his package at his house, even though it stated on the tracking that they attempted delivery. PayPal sided with him for some reason even though I provided proof of delivery. I'm out the merch and the money image
  • I wish someone would start up a new auction site to give them some competion..When your the only show in town you dont have to worry about pleasing anyone.

Exactly. There are smaller auction sites out there but they all suck. But somebody needs to give eBay some damn competition! I'm tired of eBay raising their fees every other month and getting away with it because they have no damn competition. Their customer service sucks, and they just keep getting worse and worse and their fees are going up and up.

²nd ! If they would make it as functional and simple as all their other stuff, Ebay would have some serious competition.

  • Somewhat related. I paid for a package. It was a Super Dodge Ball in a plastic case for $8.50 shipped. It's been over a month and the seller has refused to help me out at all so I filed. Here is the result of that thus far:

From Buyer on 7/3/2007 12:22 PDT

Even a refund of some or all of the item price would be sufficient for me. I'll take the loss on shipping. I'm just asking for some sort of help, whatever you deem fair to make a customer happy. Even if an item wasn't received you can still have a good transaction.Negative feedback left out of spite isn't reasonable. If I had your mindset, you'd already have negative feedback.

From Seller on 7/3/2007 03:56 PDT

you dnt not ask for insurance, I did my part and the rest is not in my hands. I REFUSE to refund money for an item i sent out.!!!!! EXPECT NEGATIVE FEEDBACK IF I GET CHARGED FOR AN ITEM I SENT OUT!!!!! BULL!

From Seller on 7/3/2007 03:53 PDT

    I sent the item out.

From Buyer on 6/30/2007 16:55 PDT

Won the auction on May 25th. Still have not received the item. I tried to resolve with the seller through eBay already to no avail.

I guess my question is, even if he left feedback because of that, isn't that an instance where eBay would remove it? Any other thoughts? I've refunded buyers in the past just to make a happy customer, even when I thought they may be lying. It's all apart of just doing good business.

  • I would file a charge, and when they don't prove that you received it, you'll get your money back. Getting a negative, however, will likely result, but I wouldn't let that stop me from getting my money back. Or, you can take the approach that you could give up $8.50 to not receive a negative -- it could be a lot worse!

  • After reading a few various things it seems the negative would stand. I've since bought a dodge ball anyway. So perhaps for 8.50 I'd prefer to not receive a negative over less than 10 dollars.
  • Thats another thing I dont like about ebay people use negitives to blackmail plain and simple. It is almost impossible to get a neg removed.
  • I agree. I think a seller should have to leave feedback for an auction before the buyer can even leave feedback at all.
Once a buyer pays, he's fulfilled his portion of the auction agreement and deserves feedback.
It's unfortunate that this usually happens the opposite way though.
  • I have to disagree here. I think the buyer should leave first. That way if there is a problem then the seller has a opporunity to correct the problem before a neg is left. Many buyers would neg first and ask questions 2nd. I do agree that people use negatives to take advantage of people sometimes, but that would be a hard system to change.
