The detail of these things and how close they are to the final art is amazing. Check out that tilted Seal of Approval on Tag Team Wrestling, wishful thinking on the artist's part. Nintendo (as with most companies) has strict standards with regards to the use and layout of their logos. Buyatari how big are these compared to the final art?
These are smaller. I'm guessing the artists just plowed through these and its possible 2 or 3 or more were submitted for each title. They took more time when it came to the final art. Alot of the detail they put into the finals is lost when it makes it to the box.

Nice stuff. This almost reminds me of something I wanted to try and that's making vector graphics out of the NES box art. I've seen it done for arcade marquees and it's great. A lot of work, especially for complexly drawn things.

I've said it before, but I for one am really appreciative of you sharing these with everyone. I completely agree with the watermarking and trying to protect what is in your collection. It sucks that it has to be done but there are too many scammers and stealers out there...I remember it being somewhere around two days after TRE released a rom of an unreleased game there was already a repro of it up for sale on ebay...it's always a shame when something like that happens.
Hey Adam, would it be possible to add these to our game pages here? As you can already see, we go to a lot of trouble to watermark the images here as well (well, we don't watermark the images themselves, but rather use Flash to load the images dynamically).
